jurialmunkey 12-06-2004 08:34 PM

If you want to hear a song I recorded then check out this song I co-wrote with the singer in my band. (Its NOT the song in the challenge) :p

www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=274107

Then follow the instructions.

pixiesfanyo 12-06-2004 08:44 PM

That is really great. Not what I was expecting from you, but still really great. (I see a large Radiohead infulence in your writings so.)

jurialmunkey 12-06-2004 09:16 PM

Thanks.. We are pretty proud of it.

It's alot more mellow and melodic from our usual stuff... This is the sort of stuff myself and my singer Jak write while we are sitting around in our house with accoustic guitars. The stuff we play in our band with our drummer gets more of the scream treatment and gets quite heavy in some parts.

Our biggest influences are:
The Cure, Mars Volta, Nirvana, Fugazi, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Deftones, Sonic Youth, Tomahawk, The Dissociatives, The Locust, Glassjaw, Pixies and The Flaming Lips.
So mash all that up with some peas and potatos and thats what we sound like.

d0ped0g 12-06-2004 09:50 PM

meh i've come up with some more angst-filled lines to power chuck into my already foul-smelling pile of vomit.

i'll update it soon.

SubtleDagger 12-06-2004 11:59 PM

SubtleDagger 12-07-2004 02:55 AM

George Carlin's lame.

"So the stewardess is like, 'Get on the plane!' and I'm like, 'What if I want to get in the plane?'"

OH STFU CARLIN YOU KNOW WHAT SHE MEANS

d0ped0g 12-07-2004 05:26 AM

lololol
thats what makes him so great... the ability to retreat from colloqual common sense and take everything completely literally

"ITS LIKE SMOKING A BIG BROWN DICK!!!!" -George Carlin on cigars

pixiesfanyo 12-07-2004 06:05 AM

jurialmunkey 12-07-2004 03:49 PM
Bob hasn't been here in a while. Maybe he got a life. Wait, he actually had one. He has a wife and stuff. He's like 45.
Yeah I know... just wondering if he was still around because he was a great writer and seemed to instill a little bit of sensibility in the forums.

Maybe he changed jobs or got a promotion or something and now he doesn't have time to sit around at work and waste time on here....

xKONRADx 12-07-2004 03:59 PM
Haha ya probably. Sad for us. It's unreal we have so many returners this week for no reason. And yes, I succeeded in doing two biology lab reports starting at 10 and ending at 4 with classes in between.
jurialmunkey 12-07-2004 04:00 PM

I'm glad I don't go to school..............

I guess I kinda go to what you would call college........... but its music and therefore not schoolwork. And I only go three days a week........... and its fun.......... and then I will have a diploma in sound engineering.
