they are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!

Nymthetamine 4eva!

(i hope thats how u spell it hehehhe)

LegionsofMarduk 11-29-2004 09:19 AM

They've gone way down since Midian. The newer stuff is OK, but no where near as good as Principle of Evil Made Flesh. Although I haven't heard Nymphetamine yet.

You just turned me off ever listening to this band.

Raven666 11-29-2004 09:27 AM

I dressed myself up to look like dani for halloween. i scared alot of kids and one of them ran screaming don't rape me  but yeah it was fun. but getting to the band. i love COF and i really do like the newest album. i can agree that nymphetamine is an excellent song but the rest of the album is great i suggest you look into it.

RetiredAt21 11-29-2004 11:11 AM

The only Cradle of Filth albums that I really care for are The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, Dusk and Her Embrace, and Dark Faery Tales In Phallustein. Dani's voice really irritates me, but I think they are all talented musicians (especially the drummer), and they really have some great songs. My favorite songs are The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, Dusk and Her Embrace, and Funeral in Carpathia.

we all gonna die! 11-29-2004 12:16 PM

I think they are an amazing band. The stuff I've heard is great I've heard at least one song from each album and I own Midian, Live Bait For The Dead, ****ation And A Day and Nymphetamine and I love them all hopefully cof will do a UK tour soon like Dave Pybus said better not be lying.

if you like the drummer from post midian stuff you should look itno one of his other bands which dissolved around 1996 called at the gates they are the best melodic death metal imo

RetiredAt21 11-29-2004 04:33 PM

Was that Nicholas Barker? He was in Old Mans Child too right?

Nalphe 11-29-2004 04:36 PM

now dimmu borgir

btw, cradle's adrian isn't that bad, huh??

InFlames.KsE 11-29-2004 04:46 PM
I have a mild liking for them. Except for when the singer just won't shut the fuck up. His voice annoys the bejesus out of me.
THANK YOU..haha

Post-Midian was Adrian Erlandsson(sp?). Barker played from Cruelty and earlier.
THANK YOU..haha
You listen to Killswitch Engage. That terminates your ability to judge music, whatsoever.

Yeah, I thought everyone here hated Cradle... I've loved them, they are an excellent band.. I'm not at all into Nymphetamine.. but their black metal days are ****ing amazing.. as is the Cruelty-Midian period. Awesome stuff.

bassaholica2004 11-29-2004 11:53 PM

I don't like em. Mostly its like Slipknot- all the fanboys running around saying how good and talented they are, how they are the most evil thing to ever exist, and so on. The actual band is pretty bad too. I mean, people are calling them Vampire Metal. WTF? Thats stupider than all the -core genres, IMO. And as far as talent goes, belive me, there are WAY more talented and better bands our there.

Dimmu I don't really mind. I don't like them, but I don't hate them either. They're just up there with all the other Symphonic BM I don't listen to. From what I have heard of them, they sound like your average Symphonic BM band, which is cool. I know a lot of people are sliding away from them for becoming more Mainstream, but I think thats cool. At least they don't try to pass themselves off as "Vampire Metal"

SomethingUnSacryd 11-29-2004 11:59 PM

I'm not too much into these guys but I absolutely love their cover of Hallowed Be Thy Name and Fear of the Dark. Dani's voice is like Everclear, should only be taken in small to moderate doses.

He's alright. His brother is better.

Bertovo 11-30-2004 12:15 AM

Cradle of Filth, in my opinion, ruined two perfectly good Iron Maiden songs.

So if I ever see Dani Filth, his groin is going to meet my foot.

They also ruined Slayer's Hell Awaits.

dinner at dieveant's place is freaky backwards

screech_freeman2 11-30-2004 07:06 AM

Cradle of Filth is the bomb not only are they the best mainstream death metal band but they have been around since the 90's they have many cds all of which i love they get better every album that comes out.

Lord Abortion 11-30-2004 07:08 AM

possibly mainstream black metal
not death...

LordDargon 11-30-2004 07:10 AM

CoF fans are almost as bad as "maggots"! What kind of stupid name will they come up for themselves... Craggots? Faggots?

COF is most definately not the most evil band out there. but you gotta admit they aren't half bad. i can say they aren't my favorite band out there but they do deserve some respect

i agree the whole vampire metal is a little chezzy and that there are more talented bands out there but they have some cool melodies with the integration of the keyboards plus i really like their drumming. that doesn't mean that people cant like bands because they are becoming slightly mainstream plus there is always gonna be a more talented band but if everyone listened to music based on maximum talent we would all be just listening to the guitar gods like micheal angelo, yngwie, steve vai etc..

Nostalgia 11-30-2004 07:03 PM

i like nymphetamine alot but not to much of there older stuff i like danis voice some more when it goes higher. But i still think they did ruin hell awaits by slayer.

Yeah, I mean I'm not saying you guys suck for liking CoF, or your music taste sucks. Different people like different things, though I bet if you knew more bands you would probably come to see why people here don't really like CoF. And I don't really have a problem with bands becoming mainstream. Some of my favorite bands are really mainstream (Metallica, Slayer, Morbid Angel, Emperor, so on).

BoboTheRagingHobo 12-01-2004 12:22 AM

I love Cradle Of Filth as I have stated before, but Graveworm > CoF. I highly suggest anyone who likes Cradle to check them out, along with people who dislike Dani's vocals, check them out as well.

no way man their iron maiden covers are friggin amazing. they added that much-needed sense of atmosphere with their keyboard work.
