Maybe so, I would love to hear your opinions on what punk is.
Greenday and Blink 182 are pop punk, and as such suck very badly. You just don't realise it until you hit puberty.

Green Day actually used to be good though, blink never were. They were bareable with Scott behind the kit but no more.
Meh. He's clearly into the scenes as he calls himself a "punkemohardcorekid"
ok, point taken. :)

oh, and nice name you've got there.... ;)

Drum Phil 04-19-2006 11:49 AM

Ska is more of underground scene ;) Therefore im cooler than all these emo/indie knobeads

aznriceball 04-19-2006 11:50 AM

Benny Greb. Thomas Lang. Steve Gadd. You'll wish you'd never even bothered with Travis.

Seafroggys 04-19-2006 02:24 PM

We_Love_Lime 04-19-2006 07:35 PM

Things Fall Apart is amazing.

Phrenology Is just about there second best.

and than The Tipping Point.

I actually like the Tipping Point, but that's how it sort of goes in terms of hiarchy.

Than theres there older stuff such as Do You want More and Illidelph Halflife, but they didn't go anywhere until TFA.

But if you want, Questlove composed like a mix tape thing. Called "Home Grown. Guide to the Roots" Or something. It comes in two volumes, I have volume 1. It has a little bit of everything, and than with volume 2.

I find the Roots Live CD also very entertaining. Questlove does a better job playing Live IMO.

I'm such a whore, I can't choose.

I probably didn't help. You can PM me or something if you need more help.

othankheavenfor311 04-19-2006 08:38 PM

Play some 311... Chad Sexton is a very rudimental drummer with some intracat (sp?) beats...

Sijo Ulsa 04-20-2006 06:03 PM

John Dolmayan of System of a Down. He kicks ***!

The_Funny_Guy 04-20-2006 06:56 PM

Carl Palmer.
Travis is NOT a good drummer.

Thomas Lang/Terry Bozzio FTW. If you can play through a whole Bozzio solo perfectly, then i will yeild. Also your name is retarded. You cannot like punk and emo. Both scenes detest each other.
Travis Barker is decent, you can't say he is a BAD drummer, because that's not true, but he is extremely over rated. Anyways, I suggest Josh Freese, Bud Gaugh of Sublime, Tommy Lee (any old school Crue songs) Josh Eppard of Coheed and Cambria and if you want a real challenge, Stewart Copeland, from the Police.

FockerTheLopper 06-03-2006 06:43 PM

Just play what you like. If its too easy change it up. Keep the basic ideas the same but change accents/bass drum patterns/ghost notes etc.

iamjoe2 06-09-2006 12:20 AM

john bonham-led zep
peart... rush

the drumming gods man.... the best thing to do for your drumming is take what the really good drummers... the clasics such as earl palmer... take wha they do and mix it up... play it in different styles and syncopations....mix it up!
