I'll bet you do.
....Bradley. |
You're mean to me :(
|
I'm just listening to Lamb's self-titled album for the first time. It's good stuff, so far.
|
You're mean to me :(
I've said that same thing to you like 8 times. Bradley. |
Except I'm not mean. The only "mean" thing I've ever said was not to hesitate if you wanted to redo your review of "Downward Spiral". So there.
|

That was pretty mean though. The only thing I've ever done to you is call you by a misinterpretation of your name. ...Bradley. |
I love trip-hop.
I've recently been getting into Portishead and Massive Attack. |
^^^
Good work :)
That was pretty mean though. The only thing I've ever done to you is call you by a misinterpretation of your name. ...Bradley.
It wasn't intended to be mean :(. What about the time you said you loved me? :( |
Good FG :thumb:
I've been listening to Tricky - Maxinquaye a lot recently and it has become my favourite trip-hop album to come out of Bristol. |

 When was that? On a relevant note, I have a Best Buy gift card (They gave it to me because I returned my copy of Basement on a Hill. The song Little One wouldn't play), so I've been meaning to use it to get Dummy the first chance I get. Maybe tomorrow, who knows? |
It was on some movies thread in The Pit. It went like this
I love you br3ad_man

 I don't get whats going on!

Just declaring my hidden love for you

Oh ok, in that case I love you too
I dont really remember it, but that was the general vibe of it. We've* totally killed this thread *you've |
Trip Hop =
I'm just listening to Lamb's self-titled album for the first time. It's good stuff, so far.
I'd say Lamb's first two albums (s/t and Fear Of Fours) are the only ones really worth having. But I've never heard a Lamb album in full - I have a nasty habit of getting corrupted files, encoded viruses, or nasty scratches with their albums. :( |
The newest album (Between Darkness and Wonder) is quite awesome in my opinion. 'Till the clouds clear' is one ofmy favourite Lamb songs, and it has a very nice feel to it. I really dig What Sound as well, because it has a calmer, more electronic feel to it. Lamb are one of my favourite artists ever.
|
Portishead's Dummy is one of my top all-time albums.
|

Well I'm pretty sure that what I have is sound, so you could get it from me if you like. |
i think dj shadow's endtroducing is still the number 1 trip-hop album of all time :p
|
Portishead is my favourite band, though I prefer "Portishead" to "Dummy" - probably because I heard that one first. I guess the first album someone hears by Portishead is always their favourite.
I'm really getting into Hungry Lucy now, who define themselves as trip-hop. They're an underground American band with some awesome songs. Trip-hop, for the most part, is something I like without getting excited about. I'll listen to it, but I'm not big on it. Very danceable genre, though. |
pardon my ignorance but I'm a fan of the Gorillaz and was under the impression that they are Trip-Hop. Have I been too influenced by MTV or is that correct?
|
They have elements of trip-hop. Mainly due to the involvement of Dan The Automator.

I downloaded Mezzanine, it's ok, I guess trip hop doesn't appeal to me |
Fair enough. A bit of a shame, not really a problem though.

 I love that. |
Just wanted to say that Becoming X is a great album:thumb:
Too bad they ditched the female singer soon after.. |
Becoming X is fantastic.
|
i really like portishead's live album.
this is a little different, but cypress hill's 'temples of boom' is really trippy, and i like it. |
This thread deserves to be revived.
I'm suprised Sharpshooters hasn't been mentioned yet. They're more hip-hop with a trip-hop feel. |
Shotgun on the next FG. :smash:
When will you be doing that, because I want to do one as well :D |
