I have the Digitech, but the envelope doesn't give me enough bottom end and overall response. I get a more dynamic sound when I turn my bass' volume down, but that kind of ruins the idea, because then I crank the amp, and it's just not good. I love the pedal, it's got a lot of uses, but I dunno... the envelope just doesn't do it as well as I wish it would.

Exactly, Boss PS-3 on the Step phaser would be awesome, coupled with a wah you'd be floating.
