I'm pretty sure angus is better than you ..............Hell I bet malcolm is better than you. No there not the best skill wise but maybe they are better than what they play on their records.

Angus isn't necessarily known for his guitar talent. The thing that makes him a legend is his stage presence. Who else thought up the duck walking, crazy-ness of his performances? That's why AC/DC is known, not that the music is bad, but because of his stage antics.

AC/DC may not be very diverse (i.e. all songs have generally the same guitar sound and structure), but they rock, and they got me onto rock and roll. Even though the solos aren't that hard, they still kick *** and get the job done very well. They're no Led Zeppelin or GnR in my opinion, but they definitely rock. Better than all of these awful punk and new "rock" bands. I don't like how on their albums there are so many "filler" songs though... it's mainly the title track and maybe one or two more good songs (excluding Back in Black and High Voltage).

I think that they are an overrated band, because alot of people that I know regared them as one of the greatest rock bands ever. They are an ok band, though.

If you've ever really watched AC/DC play, it simply will amaze you. As they are not the most skilled band out there, they are clever and extremely entertaining to watch. Angus is a great guitarist, not because he is the best player, but because of what he can do playing a guitar. If you've ever seen him, he never stops moving, always does crazy things, and all the while plays like hes sitting in a chair not doing anything.

They also have a good technique. In Thunderstruck, as TommyR said, the intro sounds great. But, its all three of the guitarists doing something. Theyre all playing a beat and when you put it all together, unless you're really paying attention, it sounds as if its one guitarist playing.

Anyways, I love AC/DC music, and will always be a huge fan: Even if they aren't the best.

I mainly like their hits like T.N.T, Highway to Hell, Back in Black, etc.

Ac/dc sounds better than most other bands. Who cares about talent when you can write like that?

actually angus young is an extrememly good guitarist! on stage (live) he exceeds that of eddie van halen

has everyone heard about the main road in Melbourne, Australia that is now named ACDC street? It was the road where they filmed "a long way to the top". it was just renamed recently.

It doesnt matter how hard or easy a song it, or how simple it is, if it rocks, and sounds good, then it's a great song, and ACDC is a great band, they have easy stuff, along with hard stuff, one of my favorite bands.

I'm sick of people saying that the only reason that angus is any good is because of his antics on stage. He is quite talented as well as a good writer. Of course all thier music sounds similiar, their actually proud of it. btw is it true that malcolm became a priest?

Let me ask you this......What would rock be like today w/o AC/DC? Angus and Malcolm freakin rock. Malcolm is a very underrated rhythm guitarist.

Malcolm is actually better than Angus. Angus even told Guitar Player that he is better and the only reason he(Malcolm) doesn't play lead is because it interfears with his drinking.

if you think about it, ac dc riffs are not that similar, if you listen its the guitar sound that never changes

IMO, Angus and Malcom are the only talented members of the band. don't get me wrong tho, I absolutly love ac/dc

and yes brian has nothing on Bon, Bon is ten times better, if you get into AC/DC's earlier faster stuff with Bon you will see how talented they are, get some unreleased songs, they are amazing back then.
