Where are you from, g-man? BTW, you're almost at 1,000 :D

LoneStarDrummer 11-27-2006 01:55 PM

those little deer look like they'd be fun to ride.

Pleaseme 11-27-2006 02:17 PM

Nice pics! Snow really is beautiful, I wish we got more of it round where I live.

the_pure_drummer 11-27-2006 02:24 PM

Its snowed a little the other day i want it to snow lots this christmas it would be amazing:)

goalieman92 11-27-2006 02:28 PM

snow is cool. pun intended.

Unless it was made from a skate blade against ice into my face. After that happens, I start to take names.

trysthedrummer 11-27-2006 02:34 PM

Got my AAX 18" stage today, and boom, and evans bd eq2.

Sh*t, wtf have I been wasting my time with the stock head Ive had on for ages. Tuned it up quickly and what a thud.

Was playing tonnes better on the double pedals just because of a new, fresh head.

goalieman92 11-27-2006 02:39 PM

sweetness. it's always good to get a new head and cymbal. let us know how it sounds.

edit: hey sweet, 1000 posts. that took a while.

trysthedrummer 11-27-2006 02:55 PM

Oh!, oh, oh it sounds ace!

Win A Rabbit 11-27-2006 03:28 PM

I've been wanting to take pics of the snow here, but I can't find the camera. I thought my parents had taken it on vacation with them, but they're back and the camera's still nowhere to be found.

On another note, this is the 4th straight day it's snowed non-stop. It's insane.

Janeway 11-27-2006 03:37 PM

Jesus Christ.

It's 60 out. It's so fricken' nice.

Jazz band and my lesson was cancelled for tonight.

And my mp3 player was finally processed, even though I don't know what's wrong with it yet. It should be here by next week. Both Babylon 5 and the HHGTTG TV series have finished downloading.

I finished the single HHGTTG book today, and I watched the movie last night.
Yeah. No, the movie isn't so great after all.

I especially didn't like the Arthur/Trillian thing.

I can't decide if I liked the police ship offing itsself because of Marvin talking to it, or him shooting the lot of Vogons with the POV gun.

Today is going fairly well.

maniac0796 11-27-2006 03:37 PM

Hmm

Winning the national lottery is a 1:54 chance. So technically, if you spent £54 on tickets, then you could win the jackpot, but it depends on the variation in your numbers and what percentage of the 1:54 goes towards your 54 tickets...

stevensonmat2 11-27-2006 03:45 PM

1:54?? Those are really really good odds. Last time I checked the state lottery odds it was in the hundred thousands.

what? that can't be

I need someone to tell me in huge letters, Speed is not important. I keep doing these "fast" fills but to me its not fast (to drummers) and in the middle of the fill I'll tense my muscles and get some insanely fast **** like double time or double time triplets but they sound pretty bad, and not consistent. I dont know why I care so much about speed. I KNOW control is so much more important but when i'm on the kit i always try to do these blazing fast fills I really can't pull off. Well anyways on off to my dentist appt ill ttyl

Dave*Grohl 11-27-2006 03:51 PM

Im really pissed of today for some reason. I guess I'm just tired.

That doesn't make sense at all. 1:54 would mean that there would only be 54 tickets available. (Or if you bought 10 tickets and the odds were still 1:54, there would be 540 tickets available, etc.)

If I say pick a number between 1-100, you've got a 1:100 chance of guessing it. 100 options, you pick one of them.

I doubt there's 54 lottery tickets available for a national lottery. That means they're making £54 in ticket revenue and handing out millions.

Loser 11-27-2006 04:00 PM

That ratio is totally wrong if you're talking about the jackpot.

spirit 11-27-2006 04:09 PM

The jackpot is something like 1 in 200 million. Rediculous. The Euromillions must be even worse.

mysticalyeti 11-27-2006 04:10 PM

Hey look I am whoring

>_> Don't expect much I guess.

(lower expectations whoring method)

Seriously though I finished a song that I didn't start 2 years ago so it's like a special occasion.

Oh, well look at that.

mysticalyeti 11-27-2006 04:11 PM

I'm still afraid to watch the HHGTTG movie fearing that it will somehow tarnish my perception of the books... D:

Janeway 11-27-2006 04:13 PM

Yeah, well.

They should have remade the TV series, keeping everything exactly the same, but updating the special effects and keeping Alan Rickman's Marvin.

 I'm doing a survey for the Blood Donation Clinic (1 of 40,000 randomly sent, makes me feel special) and one of the questions is:

"The last time you donated blood, did someone or something strongly influence you to donate?"

If you check yes, there's an arrow to another question to check "Who or what influenced you the most?"
If you check no, the question ends.

So if you check "yes" to the question of "...did someone or someting strongly influence you to donate?", one of the possible boxes you can check off is "Nothing influenced me"

 By picking that you're saying "Yes, something influenced me. Nothing influenced me."
Well yeah. Lot's of people can't drive that good. I wasn't saying your friends were the only ones. I was saying it's their fault no matter how you try to justify it.
Coca, i hit a deer on a pitch black night in the woods going 'round a curve. the deer was running across the street and i struck it at 40 (limit 45) and took out my left front headlight plus some radiator and hood damage.

Is this because i'm a horrid driver?

i give blood monday! i love giving blood. My type is B- (the 2nd most rare 2% of population, vs i think AB- which is 1%) so by giving blood i'm potentially saving my own skin!

Janeway 11-27-2006 04:21 PM

You just can't match Coca's exquisite ultraperfect driving technique.

Chippy569 11-27-2006 04:22 PM

To quote from a lottery ticket:

Overall odds of winning Lotto prize are - 1:54

The moment i turn 16 i'm gonna play the lottery

£1 a week ain't to bad to have a very small chance in winning money

that means once every 54 weeks you should win. or, once a year.

however that "overall odds of winning" also includes those like $1 prizes

Janeway 11-27-2006 04:29 PM

You do realize that that's utter bullshit?

It's on the product they want to sell. Of course the odds are going to look appealing.

By the time you're 80, if you buy 1 lottery ticket a week, you'll have spent $3,400 sommat.
