Oh, snap, Kage. I really had it in the back of my mind to ask you about this here specific recording above. Dolphy's Out To Lunch. I found a piece of paper in my desk drawer yesterday that had a half dozen titles jotted down and 'OTL' was one of 'em. I'm takin' that it's a big one, right? The other titles jotted down were 'Idle Moments' by Grant Green, 'Page One' by Joe Henderson, 'Blowin' The Blues Away' by Horace Silver and a few others. Just today I heard me some Oliver Nelson - Blues and the Abstract Truth. Whatta masterpiece that friggin thing is. I only just got that recording and I'm spinning it often. I guess 'Out to Lunch' is up next on deck. I just exited Metal mode and it'll be Jazz time until daybreak.
