I listen to DT for the first time yesterday, and I ****ing love them. So far my favorite is "As I Am"
Get yourself another Dream Theater album QUICKLY!!! If "As I Am" if is your favourite, then you better keep an ambulance on speed dial.

CoF 01-25-2006 01:49 AM
He's horrible on that song live. Instead of "Goooood" he says it so short.
I guess i said it because its my fav song. I just like the feel of the guitar, keyboards and his singing. Its just so atmospheric.

Yeah, the Silent Man is awesome. Erotomania comes in a close second for me.

Lord Abortion 01-25-2006 04:03 PM

I'm lending my Girlfirend 6DOIT and Awake, because she loves SFAM and I&W

Lifting Shadows of a Dream, Innocence Faded and the Silent Man FTW.

JamJar 01-25-2006 04:30 PM

The best on Awake is A Mind Beside Itself. All three movements = amazingness

scenesfromatheater 01-25-2006 04:33 PM

It's better on Live Scenes though.

Lord Abortion 01-25-2006 04:36 PM

Yeah, true.

I'm going to watch some of Budokan tonight I think.

Thats gay. Can you rip them to your computer?

Ollie. It must be cool having a girlfriend that has good musical taste. Most of mine like My Chemical Romance, Papa Roach, Blink-182 and Dashboard Confessional. I try to convert them to real music fans, but it never works.

scenesfromatheater 01-25-2006 04:52 PM

Haha, you should see the goons at my school. About 5 or 6 of them have the exact same Bullet for my Valentine jacket. "The Bullets" is the name we've given to their little crew. They were all walking together once when they were all wearing the same jacket and they looked a right ol' load of losers.

Sad? No, I'm cool.

She has a very varied music taste, plays the harp, flute, other instruments and sings in a choir...

I just bought Once in a Livetime. Did they make a DVD for this also?

I do beleive 5 years in A Livetime and images and words DVD includes once in a livetime, does it not??

ATC 01-26-2006 08:27 PM

Any chance that the DT 20th anniversary show might include Kevin Moore?

I'm definitely going to make it to that if he is. By themselves, DT don't interest me too much. I blame Petrucci's guitar tone and Rudess/Sherinian.

Darkness 01-26-2006 08:38 PM

No, he's not. He declined Portnoys invitation.
