No. Clearly anything Jeff Beck related should remain in this forum in an attempt to educate the users here. Clearly they need to be educated.

Cain 05-27-2005 12:54 PM

I could be wrong, but my recommendation for this is that the rules may be expanded to include this under the "fantasy band" rule, since it's in effect a "fantasy tour" thread and will likely elicit few discussion-provoking points other than "wow, that show would be great" or "that show would suck." It seems fairly pointless. Perhaps I am simply missing the point, however. :)

Ban.User.Now. We are talking about Nicholas Barker from Cradle of Filth and he comes in and starts talking about how Travis Barker sucks and how Joey Jordison is the best drummer of all time.

Seriously, this guy is a disgrace to the human race.

dachinesedude 05-27-2005 07:59 PM

I'm wondering why this site don't have japanese rock, cuz those are pretty crazy, and I can't seem to find jap tabs anywhere...

clown_phobia 05-27-2005 09:08 PM

There are so many yousendit links around the place this site is becoming a hive of piracy... don't you think that the RIAA might shut this place down?

This thread should be closed. It's getting pointless, and there's already a big NIN thread where people who want to talk about it can go.

No.

By downloading something from YSI on MX, users agree to the following:

1) No music files are hosted on MX; instead, they are hosted on YSI.
2) Music is for promotion basis only: a) to learn about a band, b) to promote (duh) a band, or c) to allow users the chance to listen to music not available on places such as MySpace, PureVolume, or SoundClick.
3) Users will support the bands by buying their albums.
4) Once you obtain a YSI-hosted file, it is the user's complete responsibility.

There are way too many stickies so can you possibly unsticky the ones with aren't 100% nessecary

munky_magik 05-29-2005 03:05 PM

I think most of them are probably necessary. The YSI thread could probably survive by itself.

Bartender 05-29-2005 05:41 PM

I was originally planning to unsticky the YSI thread after a couple of days. I wonder why I didn't.

Hey, since me and a few other guys in the Metallica thread have decided to make a cover song, other Official threads want to make a song as well. Maybe each thread could have a cover and then we can have a contest or something?

This seemed like a cool idea to a lot of people. I know that people in Tool, Opeth, and Megadeth have talked about it.

If we are going to do this, I would be happy to run it.

Jom 05-29-2005 09:39 PM

You might want to kill the gimmick threadstarter as well.

Bartender: you can unsticky the YSI thread, I have no problems with that. Ken said he was going to do it after a couple days, but since it's been more or less a success so far, he must have left it. But you may unsticky it, I have no qualms about it.

Actually, I have another option, and it's something I've been dwelling on for awhile about that thread. I would rather speak to you about it over MSN, so next time we cross paths through that medium, I would appreciate it if you considered my request.

Thanks.

Damn, there are crappy threads all over R&M! I'm shining the Wintermute signal into the sky!

*shines a bass wearing a tutu*

Wintermute 05-30-2005 01:36 AM

*strikes a dramatic pose*

That symbol could do with work though... a simple bass clef would do nicely.
