Yesssss.

Seriously, how good are the Weakerthans?
Never heard them, or heard of them. I might try and download some. They got myspace or purevolume or something?

TheNowhereman42 10-05-2005 10:46 PM

Is that a question or statement?

I'm liking what I hear, its a nice change because I've been listening to rip your face off bleed to death crusty grindcore s'hit and mathcore recently.

AndreTheHyena 10-05-2005 10:46 PM

I dunno. They're so good, though.
Is that a question or statement?
It was rhetorical.

I have never checked the weakerthans out. I have heard such great things about them though. Seems like I am missing out on a very good band.

TheNowhereman42 10-05-2005 10:47 PM

what in the name of god is mathcore?

good rats 10-05-2005 10:47 PM

Dammit. So for some reason I just started a thread entitled "naked children" or something. It's all that homosexual pigs fault I tells ya.

Mathcore? I plead ignorance.

AndreTheHyena 10-05-2005 10:48 PM

They're at least twenty times better than Propagandhi.

time bomb 10-05-2005 10:48 PM

whats mathcore?

TheNowhereman42 10-05-2005 10:48 PM

I just downloaded fallow, and I can see it being the cd of choice in my car tomorrow.

Dillinger Escape Plan?

Everyone is replying at the same time and it's getting confusing.

TheNowhereman42 10-05-2005 10:50 PM

mathcores some weird obscure offshoot of metal/grindcore stuff, with crazy random finger tapping and s'hit, I dunno why its called mathcore, something to do with basing guitar riffs on mathematics or something.

And I acctually prefer propagandhi, but the weakerthans are nonetheless very good.

Nice 'avatar' Good Rats. Pokemon for life.

But what makes Dillenger Escape Plan "mathcore" and not "englishcore" or "foundationsofsocialsciencescore"

TheNowhereman42 10-05-2005 10:52 PM

Ruban Dictionary: Very tech hardcore. Uses strange time signatures and very staccato and syncopated guitar melodies.

And yes, Dillenger Escape Plan.

I'm listening to The Number 12 Looks Like You right now.

mathcore, along with mathmetal, is music characterized by complicated time signatures and other insane stuff like that.

RIP Ian Curtis 10-05-2005 10:53 PM

ok, thanks. Why math though?

time bomb 10-05-2005 10:54 PM

Nick, you're a nerd...cant you fix it? :p

That being said, is it possible to get that thread that I didn't make deleted in the pit?
Nick, you're a nerd...cant you fix it? :p
The only way to stop them is prevent people from clicking the links and getting rid of the links as fast we can. If it gets too bad we do a forum lockdown, which probably won't happen. Eventually the spammers will get bored, and if J comes on, they'll lose their route to easy free emails.
ok, thanks. Why math though?
Math = has to do with numbers, which is what they are playing with.
That being said, is it possible to get that thread that I didn't make deleted in the pit?
Strum should get to it, if not I'll check it out and delete it.
Like Dream Theater?
I don't think they are, but I've never listened to them and don't listen to mathcore either.

RIP Ian Curtis 10-05-2005 10:59 PM
