Sup Andy.

Sounds awesome. Screw the parents, unless she's like 15 they need to be backing out of their daughter's life. (Though I must admit the fact that my gf's mom seemingly loves me makes it much easier).
well she is one of those girls who always does what her parents say. it really sucks because she is the best girl ever

Eh, she'll grow out of it once she moves out most likely...and then once she gets married she'll do whatever her husband says...most likely. Sadly.

But eh, if it isn't meant to be *shrug* (I'm totally one of those lame romantic people who thinks you'll meet the person and fall in love forever. I wish it were true :()

Hmm...good luck then. Sounds like a bit of a situation.

I won't say she's pretty versus not pretty, but I will say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My gf is probably not cute by everyone's standards, but I think she's absolutely adorable. :) (Basically...actually I had no point there. But tell her how cute you think she is. Just be honest, girls love that)

I hope that works out then.

Yesss. Girls who love music/are musicians aren't too common and it's sooo attractive when they are. My gf is :D

Night Andy.
Pazz: I haven't talked to him. I asked Jim to change Zach's name, but he hasn't replied to me. I'll bump the thread now though, since neither of them are online
Dude, don't start trying to give people priority. I've been waiting just as long for the same thing.
Me too. And seeing as I'm almost 20 I think I'll live my life like that. I'm proud of it too. I hope if I have kids I raise them to be that responsible too.
Responsibility has nothing to do with it. I consider myself an extremely responsible person and I still do a wide variety of drugs.

As I recall you went driving drunk the other day.
As I recall you went driving drunk the other day.
As I recall, there's a saying that goes, "there's a first time for everything." Unlike people who sit in their room all day and say, "I'm not doing this because I think it's pointless", I put myself on the line and try everything once - twice if I like it - so I can say, "Hey, I took a chance and did that." Then I can actually make an informed opinion on the matter, unlike other people who form their opinions on the heresay of others.

Alright, so by that logic, no one can condemn murder unless they've tried it first. Or theft. Or basically anything. Maybe shooting heroin isn't so bad, I've never tried it so how would I know, right? Personally, I don't feel the need to try something to feel like I have the right to say something against it. Where I come from that's borderline hypocrisy. But then, you're right. I'm sure it's just heresay that driving drunk is dangerous. There's no actual evidence to back that up.

You can euphemize it to make yourself a hero in your own mind, but doing so is all the more pitiable in mine. Yeah man, you really put yourself on the line to experiment with your body. I idolize you. I wish I tried everything before forming any sort of opinion because my experience is more important than facts and statistics.

Yeah, lets form all our opinions on statistics that are conjured up from a census that doesn't actually contain even half of the actual population of the country. Statistics are worthless IMO.

Also, I'm not sure where you derive your definition of the term 'hypocrisy', but I fail to see how it's hypocritical to be able to say, "Yeah, I did morphine (as an example) and I can say it's definitely not something worth trying twice and I wouldn't recommend doing it once because these are the effects I experienced.." I consider than an informed, valuable opinion. If someone wants to still try said item anyway, that's their choice because like I said, there's a first time for everything. Everyone has a different experience.

Just because someone died from driving drunk, does that mean I'm going to? Maybe, maybe not. Most likely not, since I'm a careful driver anyway. Does that mean I should have driven drunk? Of course not, but at least now I can say I know what it's like to perform that activity under those conditions. Driving under adverse conditions just makes you a better driver in the long run anyway. You achieve your best after performing at your worst.

Having been in the army, I've been around plenty of people that could be considered murderers. A lot of them, however, came away from their situations with a new sense of value towards the lives of others having taken lives themselves. Shooting heroin? No thanks, I'm squeamish around needles. However, I've taken chronic laced with heroin before so I have an idea of the effects. Also, I take a synthetic opiate called Methadone on occassion which has the same effects of heroin and speed anyway so I have an understanding and respect for the effects brought on by those narcotics. Knowing what I know from my experience helps me understand people that actually have problems with those substances to better deal with/help them later on.

I'm not euphemising anything, I'm stating facts. I know the effects first-hand, so I have an informed opinion. There's nothing hypocritical about that.

PDWAB 12-01-2005 02:22 AM

This is kind of pointless. People will do what they want to do, and that's that. I don't really dig it when other people are hurt because of it though.

Kif 12-01-2005 03:18 AM

So Hawthorne Height's new album has leaked, and I'm opting to give this band a second chance in case they pull a SOTY and actually release something good.

Iscariot 12-01-2005 03:39 AM

They won't. They're Hawthorne Heights. That name and the word 'good' don't belong in the same sentence.

Kif 12-01-2005 03:45 AM

OK, I'm on track 5 at the moment, and it isn't really that bad. I mean, there's less screaming now so they don't feel that generic in that area, but the guitar riffs still have that broody and dark "oh noes i need so slits my wrists" feel. It's better than their other album, I don't know if I would call it good yet though.

Iscariot 12-01-2005 03:49 AM

Meh, I won't waste any time/money on it.

I'm still stuck in a time warp and waiting for Bush to get back together. :(

I think it's an all right album. Has any of ya'll listened to Fall Out Boy's new album. I liked it, kinda catchy.

I really don't like bush that much. Their last album, I thought, was crap.

Your spelling and grammar makes me sick.

Puma 12-01-2005 08:42 AM

Holy crap, you continue to have some of the worst spelling I've ever seen hotcod. Jared, I really am not a fan of people driving drunk(I actually know of quite a few people who have been killed by drunk drivers or because they were riding with someone drunk.) I don't mind if you're just out to try things, but for your own sake and for the sake of others, I wouldn't advise you doing that anymore. And as far as this new Hawthorne Heights album goes, I'll see if I can get my hands on it, although my hopes for it are very, very low.

Edit: Actually I've searched as far as my very limited internet knowledge can take me and have failed to find it. Kif, can you point me in a direction of download or send it to me? If not I guess I'll just have to wait a bit and see if I can find it on SoulSeek. Man, you know I'm desperate for music when I'm trying to find a Hawthorne Heights album. That's bad.
