I know how long you've been playing doesn't represent your talent level. But how long have you guys been playing bass for?
I'm nearly reaching the 3 year mark. March 2007
I think I'm a little over two. I think I got my bass late September 2004. But for a while I was only playing pop-punk, and that doesn't count. So really I haven't been playing that long. |
Go into your volume control.
Options > Properties > Recording > Okay. Now play with the line in or mic level (whichever you are using).
Cool man, thanks. Probably saved me 10 minutes of searching. As of your soldering problems, try TalkBass. They know what they're doing over there. |

I'll get serious for a while and get decent, then I loose interest or I don't have time and I'll get crappy again. Right now I don't play much because guitar is taking up all of my time. lowsound |
Garr, this class is ridiculous. I'm sitting here waiting for my program to get marked. I'm completely done and can leave once the TA takes a look at it, but she's not even in the room.
Someone's getting a terrible report rating. |

I won't say that those first few years of bass playing didn't help me get where I am, because they did, but I was mostly just learning songs here and there and jamming out punk songs with a friend of mine.
It's the last two years that I've really improved my playing, though. |
That sucks, report her to your prof. What class?
lowsound
Computing 120 Entry level computer programming. I was forced to due to the program I'm in. She's making us do the evaluation form for her teaching. So she has to be out of the room. Thing is that she hasn't come back. She's already got a bad grade by me and 3 other people. |

lowsound
Web design seems like a fairly easy job. As long as you know what you're doing and have some level of creativity. You can get paid for easy work. |

I also have a lot of creativity. I also do a little bit of graphic design for my church, they don't pay me, but I don't care it is easy and fun. lowsound |

What courses are you currently enrolled in?
|
What courses are you currently enrolled in?
Intro to Economics, critical thinking, history of modern europe (1715 onward), geography and the impact that it has on society. lowsound |
What do you do in a critical thinking course?
It doesn't seem like there's enough to do in there that could fill up a whole course without being awfully repetitive. |
What do you do in a critical thinking course?
It doesn't seem like there's enough to do in there that could fill up a whole course without being awfully repetitive.
Well we first covered basic stuff like what is a statement, then we moved on to argument types and forms. Then we did diagraming arguments. Not sure what we are moving onto next. lowsound |
Well, how much are you willing to spend?
Ibanez GSR200 is a good, cheap bass. |
not too bad thanks.
what are you up to? what have you been playing on bass? are ibanez basses better or warwix thonk? -semi |
I am thinking of re-starting bass for serious. Now I don't know what brands are good so I need a little help. I don't want to spend too much money on it but I don't want a piece of shit. Any recommendations?
I didn't make a new thread because I don't like making threads to be honest. Thanks!
Ibanez sr500. lowsound |
what about yamahas? i hear they have good cheap ones.
wow chad where did you get that since mx is shut? did you write that song? -semi |
I hate Yamahas. Others love them.
What's your price range? A couple hundred dollars can make a huge difference on what's available to you. |
not too bad thanks.
what are you up to? what have you been playing on bass? are ibanez basses better or warwix thonk? -semi
I assume you meant Warwick.. but it's really up to what bass and what you like. For example, a neck through Warwick Thumb will be miles ahead an entry-level Ibanez. |

Are you just looking for pieces that people can walk up to and know their importance or about pieces that have a more subtle importance?
|
Kind of both. I don't know how I need to wire it using that current diagram.
try c major
kbye
F major works as well. There is an E, a F and a G in the key of F major. Go fist yourself. lowosund |
Atomicant, I'm on MSN right now if you can help me out at all.
|
Kind of both. I don't know how I need to wire it using that current diagram.
1. Get a SPDT on/off switch with 3 lugs on it. All you have to do is make sure that you use the middle lug for one wire and any outside lug for the other. YOU MUST USE THE MIDDLE LUG FOR IT TO WORK. 2. Solder one wire to the ground and the other to the hot wire, so when you flick the switch you effectively join the ground and hot wire sliencing your bass!! |
Go fist yourself.
that's not very nice. what's with the hostility? i was told this forum is friendly. what's wrong man? i'm getting bad vibes from you. want to talk about it? |
