lunch998 09-25-2004 10:51 PM

Cream does rule. How/who do I send it to?

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 10:52 PM

guitrguy@gmail.com

slowhand 09-25-2004 10:52 PM

Well, yeah, I don't have to say much so that everyone knows about it. But, the Beatles are my favourite band... Cream comes second.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 10:54 PM

God I love the Beatles, and Bob come in second.
Cream is good too.

lunch998 09-25-2004 10:57 PM

I think I sent it. I can't tell because right now my computer takes an hour to do everything.

slowhand 09-25-2004 10:58 PM

Have you heard Dylan's performance on Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh?

Paranoidd 09-25-2004 11:02 PM

Word, I just found the White album in my collection

:thumb:

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:02 PM

Ok I sent it back.

Badmoon 09-25-2004 11:03 PM

Coolest closing line ever, is from "Me & My Uncle"!!!!

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:03 PM
Have you heard Dylan's performance on Harrison's Concert for Bangladesh?
I can't say that I have.

slowhand 09-25-2004 11:04 PM

Nah, in 'Mother's Lament'

"Wanna do it again?"

Seafroggys 09-25-2004 11:05 PM

Concerning discussion earlier about playing 45s....my record player has a setting for both 33.3 and 45.

So if you have that, then yes. Just don't hit the wrong switch and set it to 45 while listening to Are you Experienced? Now that was an experience.

Badmoon 09-25-2004 11:07 PM
Me and my uncle went ridin' down,
South Colorado, West Texas bound.
We stopped over in Santa Fe,
That bein' the point just about half way,
And you know it was the hottest part of the day.

I took the horses up to the stall,
Went to the barroom, ordered drinks for all.
Three days in the saddle, you know my body hurt,
It bein' summer, I took off my shirt,
And I tried to wash off some of that dusty dirt.

When Texas cowboys, they's all around,
With liquor and money, they loaded down.
So soon after payday, know it seemed a shame;
You know my uncle, he starts a friendly game,
High-low jack and the winner take the hand.

My uncle starts winnin'; cowboys got sore.
One of them called him, and then two more,
Accused him of cheatin'; Oh no, it couldn't be.
I know my uncle, he's as honest as me,
And I'm as honest as a Denver man can be.

One of them cowboys, he starts to draw,
And I shot him down, Lord he never saw.
Well I grabbed a bottle, cracked him in the jaw,
Shot me another, oh **** he won't grow old.
In the confusion, my uncle grabbed the gold,
And we high-tailed it down to Mexico.

I love those cowboys, I love their gold,
I loved my uncle, God rest his soul,
Taught me good, Lord, Taught me all I know
Taught me so well, I grabbed that goldAnd I left his dead *** there by the side of the road.
Here's the line that does it.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:11 PM

Does any one mind sending me "Working Class Hero" and "Imagine"?

slowhand 09-25-2004 11:14 PM

Sorry, but I don't have any of them on my computer. If you want to download them maybe you should look for them on altavista.com under the music section thing. I used to download some mp3's there.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:24 PM

Is it free?

Woodstock 09-25-2004 11:28 PM

This ones ok

slowhand 09-25-2004 11:32 PM

Usually. It depends on which website altavista finds it. But you can check it out, it won't hurt to look.

And I preffer the other picture of Lennon that you had. (to Woodstock)

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:34 PM

I found a crappy cover of "Working Class Hero"

slowhand 09-25-2004 11:36 PM

Well I didn't say that it would work.

magicbus 09-25-2004 11:38 PM

I'm back.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:39 PM
Well I didn't say that it would work.
lol Its funny, the guy has the guitar part down, but he can't sing worth crap.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:41 PM

Yay, I found it.

slowhand 09-25-2004 11:42 PM

Awesome.

gmoneyguy 09-25-2004 11:44 PM

"Working Class Hero" is just so awesome. Something about it just grips right at my soul.

slowhand 09-25-2004 11:50 PM

Maybe it's because it seems it was a Dylan's song rather than Lennon's?

Paranoidd 09-26-2004 12:10 AM

Any of you guys familiar with using FTP's?

We could set up a classic rock ftp, and people could upload/download at their leisure. We'd all have our own personal login.

It's just a matter of who wants to host it. Whomever it is will get tons of tunes though. I have a decent connection, and my comp is on 24/7 but 197 of my 200 gigs are full :(

I'll see if I could clear some up.

It'd be the ultimate way to share tunes between us.

magicbus 09-26-2004 12:34 AM

That's a good idea, but I can't host.

thecasaulties 09-26-2004 01:33 AM

creedence clearwater rivial
aerosmith
steppenwolf
bad company
jimi hendrix
lynard skynard(spelling?)
thats all i can really think of besides zeppelin and all that

Paranoidd 09-26-2004 01:47 AM

For what?

Broken Arrow 09-26-2004 07:12 AM
That's a good idea, but I can't host.
Agree but i can also not host.

lunch998 09-26-2004 09:55 AM

Hey Guitarguy thanks for resizing my picture. It's not the Beatles, but at least it's black and white.

slowhand 09-26-2004 10:18 AM

There are better Cream pics out there. Here, just click on any of those pages and there are different images of Cream. Or just go to the 'Just Pics' area.

Sidenote: This is my 100th post. This means this forum has something that made me want to stay here. Woo-hoo!

RockAndRoll 09-26-2004 10:23 AM
