Chapelle's Show is so awesome, I can't wait 'till the new season. I wonder if he'll ever make fun of the Beatles or 60's/70's "white" music.
You didn't hear? Dave Chapelle isn't making a new season. I heard they've got enough material to make about 3 new episodes and they're planning on airing them eventually, but after that it's done.
or Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.....LSD
 |

Haha you know I had to do it. Too many noobs have come in here shooting their mouth off about how smart they are because they think they've unlocked some complex puzzle by seeing that. |

I remember doing this for the Pink Floyd thread, of course we didn't pick my awesome suggestion (One Of These Threads Is Going To Cut You Into Little Pieces), but let's see if I've still got it.
A great one for Pink Floyd would be Careful With That Thread Eugene. But yeah I think we should just keep it as The Beatles. |
Or Mother Nature's Son

I really think The Fool on the Hill was one of McCartney's greatest works. The recorder solo/fill fits so perfectly too.

I do like how Paul changes his mind between interviews on who that song is about. |

I haven't heard any of his interviews on it. Who does he say it's about? |

He first said its was about the Maharishi, then he said It could be about anyone in general. |
More grammy news! Not only is Paul up for four grammies (he has 13 grammies already), but for the first time Paul's gonna be playing at the grammys! I really hope he doesn't play fine line but Im thinking he is, because it's his lastest song. The only other hope is Jenny Wren. I would really prefer Jenny Wren!
Oh yeah, and the grammys are wednesday. |

No, they did originally because he left in the middle of recording to go to South Africa for a spiritual awakening or whatever because he got sick of all the fame and pressure, but now he's back and they finished the season :) We listened to Sgt. Pepper's in its entirety in Art I today  |

Tera Hodges - All Headline News Staff Writer Chicago, IL (AHN) - Stress is what caused Dave Chappelle to disappear for two weeks right after signing a $50-million deal. In the interview, which airs Friday on Oprah, Chappelle confronts rumors he was crazy or on drugs when he fled to South Africa for two weeks in the middle of production, leaving the public to wonder, where in the world is Dave Chappelle. Though Chappelle eventually returned to the states, Chappelle is not currently working on "The Dave Chapelle" show. However, he is currently doing standup comedy.
He's not making a new season...sorry to tell you. |

He is. They already have the preview out for it on Comedy Central. Here's a quote of his from the same site: "I want to restructure the deal…and half the DVD revenue goes back to the people that we see fit, I think I'd be more than willing to finish with where we started...I'm not mad at anybody." |

I'm not really sure, but you have to check out the preview on Comedy Central.com, it's hilarious so far. And I forgot we were in the Beatles thread.... So I was listening to Abbey Road today, and I still really like the solos on "The End". It's cool how they all got to do one. |

I'm listening to it right now and I see what you mean. But every other time I listen to Abbey Road, I go into a sort of trance listening from Mean Mr. Mustard to Her Majesty because the songs kind of blend in with one another, so the finer points of each song are usually lost on me. |

Its a flowing album.... |
From the Abbey Medly, I really like You Never Give me Your money. That is a great song.

This shouldn't even be said but Something pwns. :)

Yeah, that's what I was saying...bad word choice I guess.:-/ |

Am I the only one who thinks Her Majesty shouldn't have been on that album, it made perfect sense to make the song called...THE END...the end, and have it say "And in the end the love you take, is equal to the love you make" they could have still had Her Majesty but, make it more of a secret song, like let the transition last longer so it feels like an actual hidden song. |
I am ripping my Bealtes collection onto my computer. So far WMP is ripping them rather quickly so I shouldn' have to spend I alot of time ripping them.

Well it would also make sense to have Abbey Road be the final album as it was intended, so that The End would in fact be the end within the context. Things don't always go as planned. EDIT: Sgt. Thread's Lonely Threads Thread Band |

EDIT: Sgt. Thread's Lonely Threads Thread Band
Let It Be wasn't really planned. It was supposed to be like a documentary. |
Well yeah, that's why I said things don't always go as planned.
And Your Thread Can Thread GENIUS |
I like Her Majesty. I think The End was kind of a grand ending song, and by following it with a short, cheeky filler song, The Beatles showed that they were still just trying to have fun, even if it was over.

Her Majesty was supposed to go between "Polythene Pam" and "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window" hence the unexplained chord at the beginning. Why it is at the end, I do not know. |
Because they like to surprise people.
|
Because they like to surprise people.
That's not logical though. They wanted "The End" to be the last song on the record. |
