how about

Opeth thread immortal

Det_Nosnip 10-05-2005 10:08 PM

Portishead are amazing. I don't trip or anything, but their music rocks. :) Might want to try the Gathering, as well, especially their later stuff.

bball_1523 10-05-2005 10:26 PM

so anyone going to the Los Angeles House Of Blues show this monday oct. 10? I'll be there, most likely around 7-8 pm. It would be cool if anyone wants to hang out, I'm going there by myself.
I don't know why but i can't have nice trips with heavy music i need something mello like pink floyd or TMV...
I'm sorry, but the Mars Volta is not mellow. They're just not.

Mars Volta 10-06-2005 07:42 AM

^ The only Mars Volta song I can think of that is mellow would probably be Televators.

Anyway, I should be going to see Opeth in Leeds in November, I can't wait :)

He's right.

Where does the phrase 'Look your last upon the sun' come from? Is it just a song lyric that I haven't noticed?

ambush 10-06-2005 11:03 AM

NP: TMV - "Eriatarka" .\m/

Deth 10-06-2005 11:46 AM

Well, I put in the request for a name change to - Look Your Last Upon The Sun (Opeth)

If you don't like it, you can just get out.

Its a line that's used on a few opeth t-shirts. I don't think its a lyric though.

repcak 10-06-2005 01:24 PM

i have one question:
do opeth-concerts sold out fast?

Deth 10-06-2005 02:51 PM

I don't think so. They had on their website that the Virginia show sold-out, so I assume any others would be posted there as well.

ArcLite 10-06-2005 03:01 PM

Bought my tickets yesterday for the Myrtle Beach House of Blues show. I can't fucking wait.

Deth 10-06-2005 03:03 PM

When's the show?

Dried Muffin Remnants 10-06-2005 03:06 PM

Oct 30 in Worcestor, biatches! I think they're with Nevermore, but I really want to see Pelican. I love their stuff.

ArcLite 10-06-2005 03:08 PM
When's the show?
Wednesday, Nov 9th.

Deth 10-06-2005 03:09 PM

Yeah, it seems everyone wants the other opening band. Me included.

I listened To "The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw" twice today. I'm in love with that album.

EDIT: You're going to the show two days before me.

Stupid mods. What's taking them so long.

NP: Pelican - Red Ran Amber
That was shuffle as well

Dried Muffin Remnants 10-06-2005 04:00 PM

Do you guys think that The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw is better than Australasia?

NP: Pelican - gw

Deth 10-06-2005 04:03 PM

I've only heard two songs of Australasia. They were up to the standards of Thaw though.

Killtacular 10-06-2005 04:04 PM

I haven't heard any of Australasia, so I cannot say.

Dried Muffin Remnants 10-06-2005 04:06 PM

Scruples or Creeping Death: I'll trade you Australasia for Thaw.

12 Funking 3

So I walked into a nightclub called "The Garage" last night in Glasgow and they have these screens that advertise Gigs and the like, and the first thing I saw was "Opeth 28 November - The Garage"...I have to say I creamed myself. Didn't even realise they came to Scotland. So tickets will be bought!

Deth 10-07-2005 05:42 PM

Cool. Have fun there.

Shattered_Future 10-07-2005 06:19 PM

I wonder how long it would take to get to Toronto from NYC, give or take about 30 miles (maybe more...im bad with measurements).

The ONE show remotely near me is 18+!!!!

(Yes, I realize that I've said this MANY times already, but it's so goddam dissapointing... :upset: )

Has anyone heard of Opeth's other support band, Into Eternity? Amazing band...
