Ride a bike!

@ Nicko.

coheneran 06-07-2006 03:01 PM
Tomorrow is my last day of Junior year. I have two potentially easy exams. Right after I go to the beach with 4 or so other friends.

I have high hopes for this summer, but I still don't think it'll live up to last summer. I don't know why, but last summer just seemed to amazing to me. Weird.
Last summer was good. I had fun spitting at a French arms dealer at a weapons convention. And don't even mention the G8 protests. Some of the best days of my life.

Last summer I was determined to have a good time, so it happend. In the first two days I swam, biked, camped with friends, ran around half-naked in the rain, and went to a GSA (Gay-straight alliance) dance.

In the days after that I had joined a darkroom so I would bike downtown and develop pictures, which was awesome. Then I'd go just relax by the river, or bike around, or find some friends. I also made and sold tie-dye. In general, it was relaxing, I did what I wanted and I loved it.

Call me that again and I'll ban you.

And I'm thinking of starting some time.

We've got this stencil graffitied around my town that says "RIDE A BIKE" but the A is a red anarchy symbol. My friends and I often ponder what an anarchy bike looks like.

We've all agreed on one thing: It doesn't work. lolz.

An anarchist bike is one in which everyone is equal, you get all the speed you need and do all the pedalling you can. It is a world in which wedgies don't exist, and instead there are only bicycle smiles.
Call me that again and I'll ban you.
Sorry.
And I'm thinking of starting some time.
I just started today, it was so fun. To be fair, I only rode to the nearest Tube station, and then I took the Tube into London, but it was still fun. Maybe one day I will ride all the way into London proper. Yeah, last Friday of the month, I'll take my bike to Critical Mass.

That's an awesome way to live. Do you know there are people who spend their whole lives like that?

What part of the States do you live in?

Brain Toad 06-07-2006 03:15 PM

Vallejo isn't very bike friendly :upset: We have no trails or anything, which are the funnest things to ride. There was supposed to be a good trail system made, but only on the otherisde of town and it never got completed because Fairfield (next town over) didn't agree to connecting the trail to their city.

The next county over has tons of trails.

I'd think that'd be hard to ride with that circle around you and a big point A right where you're supposed to sit.

Nothing easy is worth doing. Apart from fat chicks:p.

Flagjacket 06-07-2006 04:08 PM

What about buying CDs? It's nice to have an actualy copy of something.

coheneran 06-07-2006 04:10 PM

Well, the money was gotten somehow, right? Maybe you didn't work for it, but your parents did, and they gave it to you because buying CDs makes you happy and they are happy if you are happy.

Yeah, people live like that. I know.

I live in Michigan, in the Midwest.

coheneran 06-07-2006 04:44 PM

There are beaches in the Midwest?! Isn't that middle America?

asdf 06-07-2006 04:45 PM
There are beaches in the Midwest?! Isn't that middle America?
Well, Michican is considered part of the midwest, but it seems kind of silly. It's not the ocean, it's the Lake Michigan beach.

Which if you look at a map, Lake Michigan is a pretty decent size.

Ghostfire3 06-07-2006 04:50 PM

Yeah, I go swimming in Lake Michigan with my friends all the time during the summer and I live in Illinois.

Flagjacket 06-07-2006 04:51 PM

Not tomention michigan has the most inland lakes out of any state.

Indeed. It's something I really like about living here. It's worth putting up with the winter wonderland for 4 months.

You guys don't know what you're talking about. The Scottish coast owns.

sketchyjoe 06-07-2006 05:02 PM

Hey Eran, are you doing Forced Listening or not?
Pacific Ocean >
You obviously haven't seen some of the puddles round here.
woah, you're from michigan too?
Yeah. I've seen a lot of other people on MX say they're from Michigan, but most of them say they're in the Detroit area (like yourself), and a few in the UP. No one lives in West Michigan like I do.

I downloaded the Dan C one, but it repulsed me beyond words (I don't know why) so I tried downloading JJF or MJTP, but AngelFire won't let you download from links on sites outside of AngelFire, so I have been procrastinating. You could send me Johnny Hobo if you like. If I don't do it tonight, I'll do it by tommorow evening after my exams.

Lake Micigan > Pacific Ocean

Because I hate salt water.

You can find the MJTP one at http://www.myspace.com/michaeljordantouchdownpass

coheneran 06-07-2006 05:15 PM

Tommorow, I'm tired, so I'm gonna pick a some Am here and Dm there, then sleep.

Rise Me Up 06-07-2006 05:17 PM

Everquest 2 is mine nukka.
So uh, how's everyone's day? Great.

I went to that computer store, you ever have dreams of being a rockstar and then you realize being a rockstar isn't really that cool? It's kind of like that.

Flagjacket 06-07-2006 05:54 PM

What?

SantaDuJuan 06-07-2006 05:55 PM
What?
It seemed really fun till I noticed the whole store was in two very small rooms.
So pretty much wherever you stood they'd be a computer chip in your asshole.

Flagjacket 06-07-2006 05:58 PM

Okay.

SantaDuJuan 06-07-2006 06:04 PM

Yeah, it was defiently not crunk in there.
