Sell it and get a helicopter! Though I suggest starting with a electric one first. The Sabre EF is a great one to startwith, prob want to upgrade the frame to the SuperSkids however.

i went shopping today. i went to the UPS store and shipped off my old drumset (*tear*) and then I went to Target to try and return my broken Zen Micro but i didn't have a receipt.... so i bought a carribeaner for my car keys and left.



i miss the snow too. I ABSOLUTELY ****ING HATE cold weather without snow. As long as there's snow, i'm fine with it being -23488324 C. but man without snow it's just miserable.

Me and my uncle from lebanon made a remote controlled aeroplane. But we never flew it... When i next go up to wales and see him, i might ask about it.

The blade is good as well! Well you learn indoors, or outdoors on a VERY still day.

Once you learn how to just fly, then you can learn how to handle wind.. the electrics are more a learning tool for the real ones, but can be a lot of fun on their own.

I learned to fly mine over my bed, so crashes weren't so expensive

Hmmm I'm a fan of the mini timps myself... easy to sneak in somewhere, unique sound, fairly cheap.

Its mounting them thats the problem.

The clamp wont fit to my rack i dont think.

The other 2 come with full stands. I might go up to one of the drum centres and see what kinda hardware the tymps DO come with.

Hey guys, I'm leaving for work in less than an hour here, and I realized I should bring my cymbals in tonight.

It's 'jam night', so I'll be playing drums for 3 hours or so tonight, and getting paid. :thumb: But the kit there is a pearl forum with pearl hats and a pearl crash.

So it's a 5 minute walk for me to work, but it's 15-20 below outside, and I'm just wondering if I should wrap my cymbals in a towel or something? I've got them in a Sabian hard cymbal case, just wondering if the temperature is bad for them, even just for a 5 mintue walk there, then a 5 minute walk home later.

Ya, octo's are cool, just big ya know? haha same with roto's, though i've seen some people get clever and cut the stand up to make them individually mountable, wich is somethig i would do myself.


Win A Rabbit - The temp shouldn't be aproblem for the cymbals what so ever. So long as they get a chance to reach room temp before you play on them, there should be no problems at all.

Might want o bring your kick pedal too and maybe a snare.

Okay cool. It'll be a good hour atleast into my shift before we start playing, so they'll come back up to room temp definately.

And I've tuned the drums myself there (also while on the clock, cha-ching, I love having drums at work) and got them nice enough to play on. They're no amazing drums, but they're playable atleast. The snare actually sounds great there, but I was thinking of bringing one of my own and having an aux, since I don't really know exactly what kind of music I'll be playing tonight.

I've got my kick pedal, clamp, and a couple pairs of sticks in my backpack already, as I'm not a fan of the kick pedal there.

At a youth centre. Technically I'm getting paid to "work", but tonight is a jam night, so me and 2 other workers (and one of the workers' boyfriend is coming) there are playing, 2 play guitar and one plays bass.

Then the kids bring their guitars or basses (sadly no drummers, but they're always asking me to teach them a little something when it's slow there. they're showing interest atleast.) and just basically do what they want musically for 5 hours. Play with us, play amongst themselves, teach each other something, etc.

I used to volunteer there before I got a job there, so I used to come once every second time and play drums for them, just basic rock stuff for them to play along with, it was always fun.

I'd probably have to get a second rail before i'd be willing to do that i imagine.

Hmm ya, the one i saw that i liked hte most, the guy just cut up the 'rack' the roto's are on, and then welded aditional clamps on the 2 pieces that needed them. one could drill holes and bolt as well I assume

I dig roto's, but i'd only want 1 on my kit myself haha

The way i was considering using them would be to put them where my rack tom is and move that as a second floor tom.
