I specialised in Fine Art and I'm off to Plymouth Uni soon to do a BA Fine Art course.

I found that the way the Fine Art work got marked against the same mark scheme as the graphics/fasion/3d and photomedia work was a bit harsh seeing as Fine Art isn't so much a design process like the others, its more spontaneous.

I got PPP on my BTEC National Diploma, needing MMP for the uni course I applied for, yet they let me on the course! Now I just need to talk to someone about this finance thing as Im sure there is something missing
"I hate physics" is just another way of saying "I'm not good enough to understand physics"

:p
At GCSE I got an A* in all my sciences. I just didn't like it.

GCSE Physics is a GCSE in putting numbers in a formula, trust me.

I'd give you an idea of what physics is like now, except MX can't handle formulas.

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 08-21-2007 05:51 AM

GCSEs were a complete piss take tbh.

Well yeah but I didn't totally suck at it.

Troof. I got 7 A*s and 4 As and didn't really do that much work.

Pastorius 08-21-2007 05:56 AM

Totally. I got an A* in English Lit, and I read the book a year before the exam, and left it the rest of the year.

talk show host 08-21-2007 06:16 AM

I didn't get any A's in my GCSE's :(

Dr Hooch 08-21-2007 06:44 AM

My god GCSEs were easy

Any set of exams in which I am awarded an A grade for my English skills is a joke

Also that reminds me

I went to the local comp and spent a lot of time getting sent out of the class for being cheeky. 5 girls from my year already have kids as well. Just to put some things in perspective about how bad my school was. I still got 6 A*-C's.

FVG27 08-21-2007 07:56 AM

My old comp is the best in Shropshire 8^]

I only ever got really done once. I slapped a girl and got an after school :(

2muchket! 08-21-2007 07:59 AM

Suspended 5 times in my last year :D

FVG27 08-21-2007 08:05 AM

*applauds*

Ha ha for what?

Surf 08-21-2007 08:05 AM

I never got anything worse than a lunch time detention.

I feel pretty nerdy for that.

FVG27 08-21-2007 08:08 AM

Neeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrddddddddd.

It was very out of character for me. I still consider myself a nerd. I haven't skived one lesson at college yet. Not even for our obligatory subjects of general studies and IT for learning.

talk show host 08-21-2007 08:09 AM

I used to get detentions in science and french quite a lot. Never got suspended though.

and those detentions were mostly my mates fault cause the teachers hated him so we'd always end up in trouble.

twice for fighting (ere iz you a gofff - usually what I was asked) once for calling a teacher incompetent (he lost out coursework) once for trying to climb onto the roof and I can't remember the last one. Probably truanting.

:( I know I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It was just so wrong.

Surf 08-21-2007 09:35 AM

I went to general studies :(

But only because I liked to argue. And because there wasn't anywhere else to go, all my mates were in other lessons.

You had me at average kinetic energy.

God I'm glad I don't do physics. Why are you revising now anyway? Resits?

talk show host 08-21-2007 09:45 AM

Those questions don't make any sense! One of my housemates did a physics degree. We felt kinda bad for him because he had 25 hour weeks whereas us social studies types had like 2.

Pastorius 08-21-2007 09:46 AM

Yeah, I have 3 resits to do.

Sucks balls.

Patrick O))) 08-21-2007 09:47 AM

Oh man this is the WORST peice of toast ever

First I drop it top down on my lap, then when I bite it a crumb pings off and goes in my eye

Pastorius 08-21-2007 09:49 AM

I'd just write it off and start again.

I did my music science one on monday.

I revised all this Youngs Modulus, SPL, SLI, acoustics, perception, histolic listening, loudness vs volume, recording and effects stuff, basilar membrane, ear structures, then when I sit down the first question is

The Malleus is-

a) surrounded by fluid
b) part of the inner ear
c) connected to the stapes
d) an ossicle

Talk about wasted effort >=[

It had tuna and melted cheese on it and I've already washed all the stuff that got dirty making it :(

I new I should have had spagetti on toast instead :upset:

Or maybe sat at a table..
