Well yeah, that is my favorite part of their career, the "in between" I guess. But can't fault them for trying something new. They also changed by necessity a bit after Davey's surgery. I think his voice sounds better now. May be the production value though.

when I first bought STS after the first minute or so I thought that they'd put the cd in the case, but it grew on me albeit slowly. Their earlier stuff is much better, i'd like to see them make a few tracks similar

And it introduced a lot of people to AFI. Just forget about the people who only like their singles, even if radio play only tempted a few people to check out their older stuff, thats cool.

The last track + hidden track on STS is one of my favorite AFI moments ever. Actually probably just my favorite flat out.
