Our elections are dragged on and on and on, even if its obvious who is going to win something [see: McCain].
And its really annoying and by the time the real elections come up everybody's tired of hearing about it and nobody cares anymore.

Yeah. Here, the parties decide amongst themselves who will be their leader, and then they have 6 or 8 weeks or something to campaign, then there's an election.

Yeaaah, people have been talking about this since '07.
Either you pay attention in the beginning, and drop out in the middle and wait for the actual November elections, or you just wait until there is one candidate for each party and pay attention in the last month or two.
Most people can't handle the giant year+ -long process.

The campaigning for presidents started like months ago, and the election isn't until next november.

Hey I am going up to northern Canada this summer.. A friend of mine is a pilot and we are taking a little single engine plane up there. Not only will we be flying low enough to see wildlife and the wicked landscape up there, but when we are there it will be 2 weeks of 24hr/day sunlight. That will be so trippy.

It will be awesome to see that part of the country, as almost nodoby gets up that far. I am so pumped.

Is he going to let you drive the plane?
My boyfriend's a pilot.
He does the take off/landing part, sets the GPS, and I do all of the flying.
We flew from Purdue to Notre Dame to pick up our friend this weekend ^-^

I lost it. I was driving along, doing sixty behind a semi, minding my own business. I was just calming down about being pissed off over something that had happened previously, and was sort of relaxing into Bjork's [I]Vespertine[/I] album when this dicktard motherf[B]u[/B]cker tries to pass me.

Without even thinking about it, I just floored it. We were side by side for about ten seconds, because the a[B]s[/B]swipe wouldn't back off, before I let him in front of me. Then, for a good quarter mile, I rode his a[B]s[/B]s while he was stuck behind the semi, screaming at him and periodically whipping him the bird with my brights on.

I was so angry. =/

Now I'm sulky...and I want to cry a little.
