Which of the cds do you have? I think the newest one is the best.
lowsound
Cody sent me all 3 of them (assuming there are only 3). |
Yeah, only 3.
Catch For Us the Foxes and Brother, Sister are my favorites. |
Yeah, only 3.
Catch For Us the Foxes and Brother, Sister are my favorites.
Those are my favorite as well. Bother, sister just took me by surprise, there are no words for how good it is. lowsound |
Yeah. Brother, Sister was the first one I listened to and I was all <3.
|
Yeah. Brother, Sister was the first one I listened to and I was all <3.
That was the first one that I ever listened to as well. I always thought that they were some super emo band so I never gave them a listen. Then my roommate was playing it the day it came out and I was like "what is this? it is awesome!" lowsound |
Anyone have a decent mp3 of any version of Someday My Prince Shall Come?
I'm playing it at a gig, and am completely improv'ing all my lines based on the charts. I want to get an idea of what was in a recorded version. |
Speaking of gigs...
It's impossible to get a gig playing the kind of music I do. Blagh. |
Speaking of gigs...

Get a band then :p
Or even better, get one of these. |
Try to get gigs playing like dinner parties and stuff like that where you would just be nice background music while people socialize.
Too much distortion and weird noise though. That doesn't tend to go over well at dinner. :p I don't even think stuff like that happens around here. |
Get a band then :p
Or even better, get one of these. [image]
Noooo! Bands are for failed solo musicians, just like bass is for failed guitar players. ;) I've already failed once, I can't fail again. :p |
But what if you're a solo band? Does that mean you're a failed super solo artist?
 |
But what if you're a solo band? Does that mean you're a failed super solo artist?
Yes. |
So it goes as follows:
Super Solo artist > One Man Band > Solo artist > Band > Lowsound? :p |
So it goes as follows:
Super Solo artist > One Man Band > Solo artist > Band > Lowsound? :p
  Yes! Exactly. |
I would think that anyone in a one man band is a failed band member.
|
You're a failed band member.
|
But that doesn't follow my line. :(
|
But that doesn't follow my line. :(
All that matters is this: Everything > lowsound. ;) |
You're a failed band member.
Don't you need to attempt something before you fail at it? |
So, when installing a kill switch, what should I do with the ground wire? (At least, I'm assuming that's what it is)
|
No, I've never attempted at being tall, but i still failed at it.
|
I finally got my computer to recognize my bass plugged in, so if I can make anything good you guys might get to hear me play.
And then I'll get to leave MX forever, having brought shame on my family for generations. |
So it goes as follows:
Super Solo artist > One Man Band > Solo artist > Band > Lowsound? :p
That actually really made me laugh. It is true, I suck. lowsound |
No, I've never attempted at being tall, but i still failed at it.
I'd say that you gave it your all and you just couldn't do it. |

I've finally got an adapter to record my bass now. I'm just facing troubles of being too loud. I'll be plugged in, when i play it's at a decent level, once i play what i recorded, it's distorted.
I still need to play around with it. Adobe > Audicity My Interactive arts class is making us record a story using no words. And they expect us to use Audicity. Pfff, Adobe ftw. |
So, when installing a kill switch, what should I do with the ground wire? (At least, I'm assuming that's what it is)
Solder it to the bridge, or into the other ground wire going to the bridge. lowsound |

As long as I'm better than Lowsound. I'm not really that awful, I am just not as good as a lot of the people on here. |
My bass is at the lowest it can be without being fully silent. I"m guessing that the recording levels need to be fixed. I've only played with it for 30 minutes seeing how i just got it last night.
It's kinda neat to record. |
As long as I'm better than Lowsound.

I don't know how my playing compares with the people on here.

More strings=better player. It's a scientific fact. |
I know how long you've been playing doesn't represent your talent level. But how long have you guys been playing bass for?
I'm nearly reaching the 3 year mark. March 2007  |

Basically, I'm confused. I have two wires running from the battery. The black wire goes all the way to the output jack while the red wire goes through the preamp, and eventually emerges to the output jack as a red and green wire.
All three are soldered to different places on the output jack, so I have no clue which to cut. Should I just solder the black to the switch "in", then solder the switch "out" to the black's original position on the output jack? |
