Generic Flipper falls between 3.5-4.5 depending on the mood you're in. |
I'm not really into alt/indie but my freinds are. can some one just list a few good bands
thnx, P.S: Is sparta alt/indie cause their pretty good
Alt/Indie is a MASSIVE catch-all category including everything from Radiohead to Joy Division to Belle & Sebastian to the Killers. Alternative and Indie as genres alone are also vague descriptions which hold countless bands that can sound nothing alike. The bands I listed are all very good though. :) Sparta is would generally be considered alternative (along with many other things), yes. |

thnx, P.S: Is sparta alt/indie cause their pretty good
Alt/Indie is music like REM and the theme song to Pete and Pete. Or in general, any music you would play to try and impress a girl is probably alt/indie. |
Nirvana were a cool indie band, try starting there.
Anyways, I now see why Captain Beefheart is liked so much, took me long enough. |

|
Good isn't it?
I've been diggin' DOA - Hardcore '81 dEUS - Ideal Crash Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison
Yeah, it is. I found myself tapping my foot psychotically to Megaghost without consciously instructing myself to. |
dEUS are Belgian band...they're an alternative rock band, but they're very original and creative, and mix up a lot of styles in their music - it's pretty layered stuff. They've got a cool sound they can call their own, and I recommend you check them out. I'd upload something for ya' if YSI hadn't closed.
Anyway, they're releasing a new album very soon (sometime this month, no sure exactly when), which if it's like their previous albums, will be awesome. |
