Dream Theater are going to release another 2 albums right? I think someone said that a while back. Anyone know when abouts they will bring them out?
|
They'll recrd more than that, I think, they show no signs of stopping
NP-The root of all evil |
I can imagine them still recording at 70.
|
Haha. That would be cool.
|
I can still see them encoring with pull me under at 70
|
as godly as they are at endurance...they're not gonna be able to keep it up much longer.
comparing the I&W in tokyo and budokan...you can see they had so much more energy back then. james's voice was much fresher then. petrucci actually moved around and didn't stand like a rock all the time. not that i care :] im still hoping for more albums. NP-never enough |
I think live they are as good as ever. LaBrie's voice is amazing right now. As for them moving around - I go to see DT to hear some amazing music, the fact they don't move around the stage doesn't bother me at all.
yep still no phoenix either...
hey cain, who's in ur avatar? :]
Her name is Faith. |
Her name is Faith.
Is she a porn star? :naughty: But yeah, no Atlanta eather. |
Help me please
ok guys I ****ing need help. Maybe if you guys have downloaded the song The root of all evil, you have found a song of 6:01 long but it is not the real root of all evil that is on octavarium...I really need to know the real title of that song cause i'll put that song in a DT medley that i'll play in a gig and I need the tabs.
Thank you(sry i found no link for you to at least listen to it...) Cheer:chug: |
It's probably Crucify from James Labrie's solo album, Elements of Persuasion.

Oh really i just though there were 2 root of all evils. |
In the last few minutes browsing threads, people have asked cain about his avatar countless times.
|
haha. it's just THAT intriguing :]
and btw, crucify is amazing. elements of persuasion is amazing. "slightly out of reach" on it is amazing. james labrie is amazing. i want his babies. does he have kids? i know the other members do. |

quoted for truth, but it still wouldn't hurt to see them a little more into it. but at this rate, i won't get to see them this year  |
Stage presence could definately multiply the intensity of a show. But If DT isn't that energetic of a band you can't really change that, they still produce some amAzing stuff.
|
Their stage presence meant nothing to me, still the best gig I've ever been to.

Like wise. |
"We felt the need to run around like idiots for some reason back then" -One of the DT guys on the I&W Tokyo commentary And James's voice wasn't so good live back then. Case in point: "Praying for TIME to disappear" on Under A Glass Moon. That shriek was unholy. |

Yeah, if he's talking about what I'm thinking of, it is. That song is really good, I'm thinking of getting the album. |
I liked the shrieking

Yeah, my former band mate told me he found an awesome DT track called "These Walls", and told me it had the best solo ever. Since the solo on "These Walls" is nothing special, I was skeptical. Anyway, when I heard it I told him that it wasn't actually Dream Theater (it was off the JL solo album), and he started flipping out and calling me an elitist. He persists in calling it a Dream Theater track to this day. One of the many evils of downloaded music. |

I model myself upon them by not moving at all when playing live. Except for the hands and stuff. |
These Elton John covers are so awesome on ACOS

he's amazing on wait for sleep, surrounded, take the time. and much better at PMU on I&W than budokan. but i still want his babies. |
hey ppl...
ive only pretty new to dream theater... could some people recommend me some songs, preferrably more to the glass prison and the root of all evil style? (ie, maybe a bit heavier?) ive got around an album's worth of random DT and wanted to get into a bit more of their stuff. cheers:) |
