Yeah, pretty much. That's kind of sad right?
Nah its not sad, if you havnt heard the songs you havnt the songs, just dont run around saying you know everything about sabbath after listening to them:p

dr._feelgood 04-07-2006 06:10 PM

Supernaut definately is one of the best riffs ever. It's so awesome, and so is that solo.

rippa32 04-12-2006 06:05 AM

I just love that album on a whole, I even find FX entertaining(I think im the only one). Its my least favourite but still entertaining.

blue3 04-13-2006 08:28 PM

I got a Sabbath poster and Master of Reality today.. even though I already had it on the computer.

666Ozzfan 04-13-2006 09:26 PM

Finally completed my Ozzy-era album collection, except for the self-titled album. but thats coming into the store soon.. can't wait!!!! After that, I'll be buying the Gillian albums. Any tips on others I should be thinking about first?

rippa32 04-14-2006 04:26 AM

I hate to sound nit picky but its spelt Gillan not Gillian(people always get that wrong). Seeing as you have all 8 ozzy albums I would probably say go for the next one with Dio "Heaven And Hell". Yes the Gillan one is a beauty but I would just like to point out there is only one with gillan on it unfortunately. Oh and whats your favourite ozzy album? Jus outta interest.

shadow_stalker 04-14-2006 09:59 AM

Hmm i always thought it was gillian.

i would suggest you get dehumanizer or Headless Cross (god i love that album so much)

i cant stand FX, seem like a waste of album space to me

...oh god no!

wearedead 04-14-2006 11:07 AM

my favorite songs are "Faries Wear Boots", "War Pigs", or "Iron Man"

First time I saw that.. It's alright.

666Ozzfan 04-14-2006 10:38 PM

Favourite Ozzy album? I'd have to say Master of Reality. It's nice and heavy and great to listen to when the world seems against you. I've heard alot of good things about both Heaven and Hell and Headless Cross. I can't decide which I should buy. Hell, I'll just get both, easier that way.

rippa32 04-15-2006 02:20 AM

TYR is also a good one from Tony Martin.
and to shadow stalker even though I like FX I agree its kinda a waste of space. A short song would have done so much better as filler.

shadow_stalker 04-15-2006 05:44 AM

I really dont like TYR, its a very good album in terms of writing and performance but i just cant get into the songs

rippa32 04-15-2006 07:10 PM

Does Headless Cross sound anything like TYR? I hope not, as much as I love TYR I think id prefer something different.

Brew 04-16-2006 02:33 PM

Headless Cross is slightly more cheesy than TYR in terms of lyrics and the general sound of the songs, its still a damn good album though.

And for crappy fillers - FX is kinda like Paranoid ;)

rippa32 04-16-2006 05:00 PM

lol that is true. I have ordered Never Say Die! from ebay btw. Im really looking forward to it, ive heard its really good and ive been looking for it for a while.

Andromeda12 04-16-2006 05:43 PM

Black Sabbath never get the credit they deserve, so a big thumbs up to ToRidTheDisease!
I love all the Ozzy years, even the much frowned upon "Technical Ecstasy" and "Never Say Die"
These albums showed a diversity to the band that sadly only lasted until "Heaven And Hell" which is also a great album!
Loved the Tony Martin stuff too, but thought the Gillan era was a BIG! mistake and thankfully only lasted the one album!
I actually always preferred "Sabbath" to "Zeppelin"
Great band!

666Ozzfan 04-16-2006 09:43 PM
lol that is true. I have ordered Never Say Die! from ebay btw. Im really looking forward to it, ive heard its really good and ive been looking for it for a while.
I bought Never Say Die week before last, and I think its a great album. what else do you have? Only need Black Sabbath to comple my Ozzy era :D. Technical Ecstacy is good, but prefer Never Say Die.

rippa32 04-18-2006 04:50 AM

I have the first disc to best of burnt(yeah okay, but it was what I used to get into them). Vol4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath on a crap quality tape I used to record from my guitar techers old record, Sabotage on vinyl LP, Technical Ecstacy on vinyl LP, soon to get Never Say Die on vinyl LP, Heaven and Hell, Born Again, TYR, Dehuminizer and Past Lives.

rippa32 04-21-2006 03:54 AM

Well still waiting on that Never Say Die! album. Whats the best Tony Martin Album to get? I only have TYR.

Also shadow_stalker, whos in your avatar? Its been bugging me for a while I assume its some guy called Marco Hietala. But whos that?

shadow_stalker 04-21-2006 12:29 PM

I would recomend Headless cross next (sseing as i only have that and TYR)

Marco Hietala is the bass player for Nightwish, and the guy i think would be awesome to sing for sabath if they did another album

temporary 04-21-2006 01:15 PM

I really need to get Born Again. I'm such an Ian Gillan fan, and the songs I've heard from it (the title track and Trashed) are awsome. Shame he only lasted one album (although fortunetly he went back to Purple.)

Lord Sabbath 04-22-2006 03:35 AM

Snowblind FTW.

and Vol. 4 is such a great song. i love Under The Sun and that beautiful fade out rif with that peaceful solo...:)

looks like someone from one of the later star wars movies. it obviously isn't, it just looks like that.

shadow_stalker 04-22-2006 05:17 AM

I think thats due to the style of the picture more than anything else

rippa32 04-22-2006 05:22 AM

lol I thought that as well. You reckon hed be good to sing for Sabbath? Would a power metal singer work in Sabbath?

Thor 04-22-2006 09:01 AM

No. No singers besides Ozzy work in Sabbath.

j05h_ab3l5_pp1_h8_m3 04-22-2006 09:03 AM

i agree with thor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and by the way who has any sabbath on reacord but me yet ?!

shadow_stalker 04-22-2006 12:09 PM
lol I thought that as well. You reckon hed be good to sing for Sabbath? Would a power metal singer work in Sabbath?
He would, if you listen to the Tarot songs he has a pretty wide vocal style

besides they already got Dio to sing for them and he is sort of powermetalish
No. No singers besides Ozzy work in Sabbath.
do you mean no other singers should sing for them or no other singer has sang for them?

Zedthephish 04-22-2006 12:18 PM

I've got We Sold Our Souls For Rock 'N Roll, Paranoid, and Mob Rules
on vinyl.

Ozzy is/was/will be the only singer fit for Black Sabbath.

Dio is eh.

the_almighty_drummer 04-22-2006 01:22 PM

well I myself am hooked after getting paranoid for christmas, it's such a great album, tony iommi is the best riff creator hands down.

great drumming too, this album shaped my style alot.
