When I saw them, Dave gave a speech about how he was happy to be back in San Diego, and that Megadeth would be back. And as well he said that depending on the success of the Gigantour would determine if it would be held again, I think it was pretty successful.

Megadeth's music will always be more complex than metallica's but I say it's a pretty close tie as far as coolness goes.

I would be really pissed if Dave joined Metallica again. For starters, Megadeth would be done, and it would seem that Dave would value Metallica more than Megadeth by going back. There are both great bands in their own right, so let's just leave it at that.

Though the thought of what dave would've written had he still been with metallica refuses to escape my mind.

It wouldn't be any better than what he wrote with Megadeth, most likely much worse.

if dave was in metallica, i doubt if they would have become more refined and make stuff like master of puppets and ajfa and stuff like that. i don't know though, obviously no one can. i'm just glad we have megadeth, and i'm glad we have metallica. plus kirk is such a nice guy, i love seeing him in metallica, he adds alot.
