Dear Mod, Think we could make a Shadows Fall thread?
There's nothing wrong with making one, just as long as you don't proclaim it as an official thread, because no more official threads are being created. You'll have to wait a day to start it as well; you have to have been registered for 24 hours before being allowed to start threads. Welcome to MX  Oh, if you are thinking of making a thread there is an excellent guide located here that would be helpful to read. |

No need to double post. Edit button? :eng101:
*is annoyed because I was gonna report it* :)
If you edit posts then it doesn't show up as the thread having changed unless you actually read through it, thus it doesn't catch a mdoerator's eye and the thread remains at large :p
I can guarantee you will read this, yet it is not a new post! :checkmate: Mister Ali. :) |

Can I make a "Which do you perfer Metal or Classic Rock?" poll? I'm not looking to start a fight or anything but I'm just courius to know how many Metal heads there are to Classic Rock fans that's all. I can perfectly understand if you wouldn't want this to be made though.

This freestyle´s obviously a troll.Do the board a favor and ban him,please. |
I think this is something that could be useful to R&M. Alt. & Indie have a thread dedicated to posting the slsk user names of various MXer's. If people in R&M get behind this idea I think it would be pretty useful, and would also eliminate a lot of the easy-to-find requests in the YSI thread, thus making it more managable for Antihero. Take a look below to see how it's working in A&I

Alternative & Indie Soulseek thread
I've suggested several times that the "trading albums over AIM" thread should be modified to include all forms of trading YSI, Slsk etc... But I've never had any feedback. |

Also a good idea. The thing I like most about the A&I thread though is that it's two threads. One where the users who would be willing to be downloaded from post their slsk names. The second thread consists of one updated post, containing list of all mx user names and their slsk identies. This would make it really easy for people with similiar musical tastes to share with each other. |

In theory it's a good idea but I don't know how it would work in R&M. We already have so many stickies so it couldn't really be stuck, and a thread like that doesn't generate a lot of posting over a long period of time so it would most likely sink through the pages. |

Shut 'er down |

Favourite Deep Purple discussion. Could yield some good discussion, but I think I killed it. :-/ |

All it would need is a link to it in the rules, and then it could float down as many pages as it likes. The actual list of slsk names would be in a closed thread that only a mod could post in. Get my drift? /idea has been ignored anyway |
could we have one system of a down thread and not about 8?
waste of time really... |

/idea has been ignored anyway
Yea, eventaully the thread would just disappear and barely anyone new would pick up names/add to the thread from a link in the rules thread as most people don't read it. It's probably a good idea to have a list though. And I'd imagine that your idea has been read, just not commented on.
could we have one system of a down thread and not about 8? waste of time really...
Just link everyone to MXican's big SOAD thread, the rest can then be shut. |
I've left MXican's thread open, and the biggest thread specifically about Mesmerize I could find, in case people want to talk specifically about the new album rather than just SOAD. I think I've closed about three other threads, but I'm not sure if there's more.
G_Mac - I've been reading along with alert interest :) Just haven't commented. |
http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=344883
You may as well close that. It's just going to turn into an all round bashing thread (probably). And the topic sucks.
It'd be easier if you just got yourself super'd. Classifieds maybe? |

Seeing as how no one has done a Great Year in Music lately, I think I'm going to do 1992. Is that OK with you guys?
|
Go ahead. I was planning on doing 1984 at some stage, but I'm going to Italy for a week starting on Friday, and what major things I have been doing around here have been directed at sputnik, rather than the main forums. Just make it good, k? ;)
Don't worry, I'll do the albums justice. |

Wow. Ever since he got banned on MXTabs, he's been searching for a reason to be banned on MX. |
Also, I'd appreciate it if the RMOTM nomination thread was deleted or closed a day early. It seems like anyone and everyone who posts in R&M has been nominated.
I'll have the new thread up and running later on tonight. Thanks to whomever closes/deletes it, I appreciate it. |
