I can't work this way

I usually go by hour long blocks, spend 50 minutes getting buried in my work then relaxing for 10. repeat

(*The Noonward Race*) 07-15-2011 02:04 AM

I think that's funny because the hair gelling creates an abrasiveness in a conical space much like a pinecone if you imagine the tactile feeling in your hands, which contain one of the largest concentration of nerve endings in the body.

Also the word pinecone appears almost synthesia-cly as juvenile, like the contrast in daytime court television that normally deals with painfully anal retentive proceedings of older less carefree annoying bitter people.

is this type of post interesting to read? or remotely insightful in some way?

adbforever 07-15-2011 02:07 AM

studying in blocks is not how the brain works

illmitch 07-15-2011 02:08 AM

clearly your wonderful grades reflect this

(*The Noonward Race*) 07-15-2011 02:10 AM

The brains works most effectively when it's being interacted with, stimulated, by reacting limits of spatial calculation, the dimensional geography of the planes of neuronal activity always in parallax with it's starting point, that is to say, by doing not goddamn studying.

Haz 07-15-2011 02:11 AM
studying in blocks is not how the brain works
well I don't know if I should be taking your word on how the brain works at this point

but do explain. I have a busy lifestyle and if I studied the way you do i wouldn't have any spare time at all.

adbforever 07-15-2011 02:15 AM

it's pretty simple, plow

the brain needs time to absorb information

studying in short bursts before bed with minimal thinking in between (hence going on mx) is the best way to study

Rugider 07-15-2011 02:16 AM

maybe if you have adhd

adbforever 07-15-2011 02:16 AM
clearly your wonderful grades reflect this
ive always been an above average student

sorry I'm not an overachiever faggot, I dont have the motivation for that

Haz 07-15-2011 02:24 AM

science does not agree with you

Yes. Breaks are very important, but having one every 10 minutes is wasting your time

fenixfunk5 07-15-2011 02:25 AM

fuck off u wanker metallica and slayer are not like the emo bands today. They werent sad and emotional like emos they were the opposite, they were partying and going nuts and enjoying themselves instead of crying and cutting them selves in there room. U FUCKING FAGGOT go fuck your emo boyfriend

irony

fenixfunk5 07-15-2011 02:29 AM

I'm detecting alot of hate from you jerks who were not even born yet..That's the problem with young people today you don't know how to have fun..I lived the 80's to bad you missed out you might have some love left...

we're all wasting our time here

we both are argumentative enough to post but too lazy to get sources

for a waterproof explanation of irony look no further than popular music

(*The Noonward Race*) 07-15-2011 02:33 AM

the funny thing about irony...

that's incorrect usage of irony

and here's a source http://www.thealmightyguru.com/Knowledge/Docs/Irony.html if that makes a difference

I know i'm wasting my time so there's nothing ironic about it

Although technically i'm wasting company time and not my own time. I'm getting paid right now so whatever

(*The Noonward Race*) 07-15-2011 02:35 AM

I love the irony of how it isn't funny to point out that something isn't ironic, given how closely irony and humor are related.

Haz 07-15-2011 02:37 AM

to get all meta about it

are you wasting your time by wasting company time

does the payoff of your earnings really recompense for time that could be spent crafting your soul

denboy 07-15-2011 02:37 AM

i am crafting my soul by being on mx

killing two birds with one stone!

(*The Noonward Race*) 07-15-2011 02:37 AM

Absolutely not.

I mean why would it?

adbforever 07-15-2011 02:39 AM
the result of something you do is the opposite of what was intended.
you did this though

you argued about the brain, that was your intention

but by saying "waste of time" you really didn't do anything to further your argument, but pointed out what spending time on forums are

Haz 07-15-2011 02:39 AM
i am crafting my soul by being on mx

perhaps you could be doing origami or something

denboy 07-15-2011 02:41 AM

I've considered something like that, would be nice to have something to occupy the hands while thinking at work
you did this though

I was replying to an adb post, i wasn't trying to convince you of anything because i realize that is completely pointless.

My intent was to waste time

proving my point quite nicely

denboy 07-15-2011 02:44 AM

Depends on which point you're talking about. Your usage of the word irony was still completely wrong

Haz 07-15-2011 02:45 AM

wait where is the point I missed it

denboy 07-15-2011 02:45 AM

I don't think there is one

I've been thinking about bringing a pack of cards and practice one handed shuffles if it wasn't for the fact that it'd make me look like I wasn't working even when I was

At least posting on mx makes me look productive

adbforever 07-15-2011 02:46 AM

intention: prove adb wrong

result: we're now arguing about correct usage of irony resulting from saying "waste of time" when the very purpose of posting on mx is to waste time

(*The Noonward Race*) 07-15-2011 02:47 AM

just talkuing to steven ellison [flying lotus] on facebook chat lol

i already said what my intention was i guess reading comprehension isnt one of your skills

adbforever 07-15-2011 02:50 AM
I was replying to an adb post
in an argumentative fashion by saying taking a break every 10 minutes is a waste of time

Haz 07-15-2011 02:51 AM
the very purpose of posting on mx is to waste time
this is false

wasting time to me is doing something with no payoff. to an extent, I enjoy posting here when I have some time to burn. to catch up on the latest Brent drama or discuss music and video games or watch fingers mccoy and iskandar have a hissy fit with each other or whatever

MX is the place to be
