The Number 12 Looks Like You
soild band! |
Yeah, they're pretty cool.
|
i saw those guys in portland at SOTU and i was not impressed with them live but ive heard a few songs the album and it sounds better
|
i think they rule live idk
|
i guess it was because they came right after acacia strain and i was all pumped up and i didnt know any of thier tunes...probably beacause of that
|
I can't stand TN12LLY, especially Nuclear Sad Nuclear, it sounded so gay.
|
Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear. is alright, but Put On Your Rosy Red Glasses and Mongrel are much better.
|
POYRRG is awesome, Mongrel is pretty cool. I actually don't have NSN, but from what I heard of it it sounds like a lesser developed Mongrel.
I got POYRRG for $7.99 at Best Buy for anyone who wants to buy it, that's the regular price. |
The Miles Between, anyone?

so which album should i download first if im looking for the best stuff?
|
Either Put On Your Rosy Red Glasses or An Inch Of Gold For An Inch At A Time
|

i dont know, i remember seeing bury your dead not too long ago with SS and the guitarists for that band are some of the biggest humans ive ever seen
probably explains why they cant play very good...huge fingers, lol |
Yeah those guys are huge too. but Greg has more muscles in his biceps like visible on stage than I thought possible. he had veins in place i didn't think you had veins. ahaha
|
haha i just recently saw the red chord again and i love how guy looks like a college student then when he starts screaming he just goes insane...the huge vein in his neck is awesome to look at

I think anyone who likes ABR should check this band out:
http://myspace.com/everybridgeburned they're really good, solid metalcore imo |
Question.
Why do Metalcore musicians put so little effort into seeming at all like they play metal? Its such a rarity to see someone who takes the effort to grow long hair or wear metal shirts. Metalcore musicians look more like the average college student or numetal worshipper than someone who is passionate about metal. To me it seems like they try to be "heavy" or "hardcore" to be kooky, yet they are afraid of what society or their parents might think if they actually grow their hair out, wear metal shirts or put any kind of artistic direction into their image. You can argue that it's so CoOl to see musicians who don't care about their image or being metal but this is actually known as laziness.
I think anyone who likes ABR should check this band out: http://myspace.com/everybridgeburned they're really good, solid metalcore imo
That band was terribly generic. |

I bet your the type of fag that says this but then will bash bands like bmth for wearing metal shirts or having long hair. image plays no part in ****ing music so this little rant I deem inconsequential. If you want bands who care about their appearence go listen to the backstreet boys. |
haha true dat, i dont even look like i would be into metal but i am, so i agree, appearance plays no part. expecially in this type of music

BMTH does not have long hair. Right. So you're saying that in a play, costumes are not important? Why wear costumes when you have a screenplay or personalities? Their would be absolutely no point for linking the theme with image or putting any kind of theatrics into your art, right? This is true for metalcore. They don't put any effort into their theatrics or image because they are chicken shi ts. Again you can argue that they do this because they are being themselves. So if they actually are being themselves, than why do they all look like generic preps? I somehow disbelieve that none of them are attracted to the metal culture when.. their whole lives and music is based around metal. And bullshit that image has nothing to do with music. Look at Behemoth or Anorexia Nervosa. They take time to associate an image with a theme and it is beautiful. Their is no way they could ever have the same effect with their music, music videos, or live performances if they looked like ordinary people. They would lose a large part of their originality. Ps: Backstreet Boys? When did wearing clothes from the Gap have to do with theatrics or an interesting image? |
