Who is that guy they co-wrote it with?
Ansley Harriet

(adds to gayness of the album)

Duman 05-01-2006 01:41 PM

I love FII, it's cool that it's different to the other albums imo, New Millenium and You Not Me are just awesome. I personally don't like Derek Sherinian's personality although he's pretty funny. He's a bit too camp for me.. His playing rocks though

Lord Abortion 05-01-2006 01:42 PM

Yeah, the hair and earring thing looks pretty damn gay.

Jev 05-01-2006 01:42 PM
Desmond Child has been one of the most successful, versatile songwriters in the music business for more than two decades.
I can't even name one song by him

His personality is just to gay for me. Rudess ftw yes yes?

Jev 05-01-2006 01:46 PM

I actually thought Rudess was gay.

Lord Abortion 05-01-2006 01:46 PM

Yes.

Prince of Darkness 05-01-2006 01:55 PM

Rudess smiles a lot while playing...a bit...distracting at times.

Jev 05-01-2006 01:57 PM

Yeah, at the concert I went to, he was smiling at no-one, just randomly into the crowd.

But at least you went to a DT show:thumb:

I'll never get that chance...

Lord Abortion 05-01-2006 01:59 PM

If he wore shades, he'd look like Halford.

NP-Anna Lee

Jev 05-01-2006 02:05 PM

haha it's true.

PAJJ 05-01-2006 02:14 PM

I live in South Africa. The only time I get to see a band is when we go overseas, which is every 2 years. :(

But I'm seeing Iron maiden in December at Earls Court! That should be a blast. and in 2004 I saw my first gig at Earls Court aswell(Muse). What are the odds?

Muse live is schweet:eek:

Well, Metallica had a mini tour here a few months ago that was cool.
But it won't happen again. Wish it would be I know it won't.

Lord Abortion 05-01-2006 02:27 PM

Iron Maiden is the best thing you could be seeing.

Get Live Scenes. As a CD, I'd say its better than Budokan, 'casue Live Scenes has such a brilliant setlist.

Budokan is about a million times better that LSFNY. Wayyy more features and the video and sound quality is perfect compared to really bad with lame effects.

Mother 05-01-2006 08:49 PM

So yesterday night I Listened to "endless sacrifice" four times.

Chu 05-01-2006 11:12 PM

Live Scenes From New York is a good CD, I haven't seen the videos of it (Friend burnt me the 3 discs a while ago), but the CDs are awesome, the musicianship is A+. I think every song sounds so well done, with every song having subtle differences from their CD counterparts, definately adding to the songs imo (Even if the quality isn't Budokan-esque).

And then, A Change of Seasons Live, what a great song to close with aye.

RideTheSpiral 05-02-2006 12:19 AM

James' voice is awful in it. Can't really blame him after singing for 3 hours though.

Petrucci 05-02-2006 12:35 AM

alright i take it back. LaBrie is good, but sometime he does suck live!

LSFNY is a definite must buy. IMO, Budokan lacks the homely atmosphere felt in LSFNY. While Budokan is in a huge stadium with a large audience, LSFNY is set on a small stage creating a nice, cosy environment. Plus, the audience in LSFNY is way better than the one in Budokan. Think I'm crazy? Watch Learning to Live on LSFNY, and you WILL be clapping with them towards the end.

Lord Abortion 05-02-2006 09:19 AM

I really like James' voice on the live a change of seasons. He really gets strong, but wails towards the end, awesome:cool:

Nah I can't say that happens to me.

Could be my lack of hands.

Lord Abortion 05-02-2006 09:29 AM

Close to crying during the spirit carries on?

Yeah I do that...

Jev 05-02-2006 09:30 AM

It is damn emotional.
I've never been close to tears watching the DVD. Maybe audio.
