We must be some sort of super-breed of bass players, Phil.
No, Phil's bass is an armored tank. |
Do you slap through the string? Or do you bounce? I find that I hit the body more when I slap through the string (which is all that I do now).
lowsound
I slap through. |
No, Phil's bass is an armored tank.
Fine, then I'm some sort of super breed of bass player. And go post in my thread, Jody. |
No, Phil's bass is an armored tank.
definitley not, it is made of hardwood, but itll take a dent just as bad as an ibanez |
I slap through.
I worked the hitting the body out of my slapping because it was starting to hurt my fingers. I sometimes still do it when I get aggressive with slap. lowsound |
My Ibanez has falling apart. I still have a hole in the back where I dropped my capo from like...2 feet up. A literal hole...
I need to go hit up New Orleans and Baton Rouge in the next few weeks and go to all the bass shops. |
I think the paint chips are there from my finger nails. Occasionally a nail will catch the bass the right way and make a little chip in it.

lowsound
You hit the body when you slap? That doesn't sound right at all. |
I wish I had an acoustic bass so I could do body thumps.
|
You hit the body when you slap?
That doesn't sound right at all.
It happened when I first switched to slapping through the string. It was a combination of holding my fingers wrong and my slapping motion. I would slap through the A string and my popping finger would slip down too far and hit the body (only when popping the G string). Now it slips nicely under the desired string. lowsound |
I wish I had an acoustic bass so I could do body thumps.
Do you do them on your guitar? lowsound |
I've decided I hate Adam because he's too good at the bass.
|
Hey guys :)
|
I've decided I hate Adam because he's too good at the bass.
I know, I am amazing huh? |
I know, I am amazing huh?
Ha, I don't think I've heard you play. |
Yes.
|
So let's discuss how I drained the entire blue part of my colour cartridge after only 7 album covers and labels. Fuck!

He is good, but he will be the first to admit that there are plenty of better bassists out there. lowsound |

Dang, that sucks. lowsound |
Dang, that sucks.
lowsound
Understatement. I've gotta find a more cost-effective way of doing this. Colour cartridge = $35 7 albums = $35 I'll be in a perpetual state of not making money. |

And that is why you pay to get it done.
He is good, but he will be the first to admit that there are plenty of better bassists out there. lowsound
That's because he's modest as hell. I doubt there are many adult bassists who can tap like him, much less many kids his age. I think a little part of me dies every time I watch his version of the Maple Leaf Rag. There are better bassists, but I absolutely love how he plays. |
Your selling music to make money? :amaze: SELLOUT!
Seriously though, a printing shop will be cheaper in the long run. |
Photocopying.

But I am really bored so I am going for a run. Be back in about 10 because I am so out of shape now. lowsound |
I leave for one second and like 10 replies happen.
*sigh* Akira, my name is adam too :P www.myspace.com/mrjiggyflybassist Hehe |

 seriously though, thats not good. i say go to a print shop. it will be expensive, but cartridges will cost more eventually. |

back into the casual, done arguing
