NO! Youtube is down, I can't watch
I'll watch when I get back from school.

nowitzki 01-19-2006 04:57 AM

I've seen those before. Its so funny when Jordan hits the last note of ITNOG with his nose

nowitzki 01-19-2006 06:31 AM

From Blabbermouth:
Despite rumors to the contrary, DREAM THEATER will NOT be joined by any of the group's former members during the final show of their 20th Anniversary Tour 2005/2006, which is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 1 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Commented DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy: "[Former DREAM THEATER keyboardist] Kevin Moore has (once again) passed on my invitation to join us at Radio City Music Hall.... so just to not get people's hopes up with their predictions, I can officially confirm there will NOT be any ex-DREAM THEATER members joining us on stage that evening... It will however, still be VERY special!"
ValeOfShadows 01-19-2006 06:35 AM

How many ex dream theater memebers are there?

nowitzki 01-19-2006 06:38 AM

Charlie Dominici was the singer on When Dream and Day Unite.
Kevin Moore played keys on the first 3 albums, Derek Sherinian on A Change of Seasons and Falling Into Infinity.

ValeOfShadows 01-19-2006 06:52 AM

Oh...Thanx.

Lord Abortion 01-19-2006 08:31 AM

Kevin "Egon" Moore would be good.
Then they could play space dye vest, this is what happens when you only have one writing credit on a song...

If I saw them playing Space Dye Vest I'd cream myself...

ghettoeddo 01-19-2006 06:52 PM

123, but gettin that weird space-reverb effect on james's voice would be hard?

Darkness 01-19-2006 06:56 PM
If I saw them playing Space Dye Vest I'd cream myself...
As would I. That's probably my favorite Dream Theater song.

Lord of Sword 01-19-2006 07:36 PM

Mike asked KM to appear at the April 1st show apparently, and he once again refused. I don't know why he keeps on refusing, he might not want to be known just as 'the ex-DT keyboardist', but most of the people in that room would be fans of his and of his music regardless of what he's doing now.
I don't know if that's already been posted, but I read it on JP.com a few days ago and haven't seen it in here yet.
Solitary Shell is one of those songs that just makes me happy whenever I hear it. It's like the song radiates happiness despite the lyrics being less than cheerful.
The first time I heard that song it made me sooooooo sad, just because one of my friends had just commited suicide (dont worry im fine with it, im religous) but yah, it was incredably saddening to listen to, but yah, excellent song

ghettoeddo 01-19-2006 11:23 PM

Yeah, they are.

That's why surrounded is my favourite DT song.
And wait for sleep was the first that really made me notice the other side to the band.

Jev 01-20-2006 10:18 AM

I got my mate into Dream Theater he loves Take The Time and Wait For Sleep.

Yes Tucson is boring. For Spring break my family is going to Hawaii. So we have to hit LA and then fly from there. I'm so glad my dad was like "Yeah, let's go see Dream Theater while we're there!"

I'm so happy. :)

They could still play it. Rudess is a talented keyboardist.
They could still play it. Rudess is a talented keyboardist.
Mike Portnoy has said they will never play it unless Kevin Moore is with them, seeing as it is his song completely. He's also said it wouldn't have been included on the album if they knew Kev was going to be quitting the band.

ghettoeddo 01-21-2006 12:10 AM

good thing it was included...

and i don't think rudess should touch space-dye vest. i dont' want him changing what KM wrote like he did w/ pull me under.

there's not much to do in phoenix either actually...god arizona sucks.

GenuineImitation 01-21-2006 12:13 AM

Thats something I didn't know. I guess you do learn something new everyday.

YES, THEY'RE IN PHILLY! Gonna go buy tickets.

Cain 01-21-2006 11:23 AM

Damn, the one I'd be able to see is the Radio City one, which would be SOOO kickass, but the tickets I can find are cheapest at 190 dollars. :-/

The most expensive ones are 1,000 dollars.

Stubhub has them for 150, which is still a ton to pay.

Yeah, it's a hell of a shame. I'm sure they would have played it if KevMo had agreed to go on with them in NY.

bwnstl 01-21-2006 12:42 PM

Still No St. Louis

Goddamn

ghettoeddo 01-21-2006 02:08 PM
