An anarchist website won't move enough units for Anti-Flag.

where do you guys get the cloth spray paint...ive been to a few places like Joann’s and Michaels but neither one had cloth sprays. i ended up just getting the brush paint kind and it was really hard. I asked the employees and they looked at me like i was crazy.

also i know the stencil site is down and will be back up soon. but soon may be a while so are there any other sites that you would recommend.

Brain Toad 05-09-2006 04:27 PM

I've seen it both at Michaels and Joann's here, so I don't know why you are having so much trouble. It doesn't look like actual spray paint, it looks like those air cans you buy to clean keybaords.

I bought some liquid fabric paint the other day. Do I just squirt it onto a tray, rub the roller on it, then roll over the stencil?

Yep. that or use a paint brush instead of a roller. Works just the same.

I use a sponge brush to paint it on.

Danger Bird 05-09-2006 09:22 PM

Did I get the right kind of fabric paint? The kind with the pointy nozzle?

EDIT: Like this:

I use 'Tulip Fabric Paint', but any type probably works well.

Danger Bird 05-09-2006 09:31 PM

But is that the right, like, species of paint? That's not the exact brand I got.

iam2000pounds 05-09-2006 11:20 PM

Yep.

Anyone know any ways of bleaching hair without having to buy hair bleach?
Anyone know any ways of bleaching hair without having to buy hair bleach?
Bleach is terrible for your hair, and for the environment. But the best way is to steal the bleach.

Awesome! I am making me a riot folk stencil as soon as I have the time.

Flagjacket 05-12-2006 08:24 PM

I gave my Riot Folks tencil to my girlfriend.

Awww! That's so SWEET! Did she blow you?

Danger Bird 05-12-2006 08:55 PM

why are fabric paint bottles so tiny? It took a whole bottle just to do that one minor threat stencil.

Brain Toad 05-12-2006 09:03 PM
why are fabric paint bottles so tiny? It took a whole bottle just to do that one minor threat stencil.
I think you can buy bigger bottles.

The new tutorial on Stencil Punks is really interesting with the freezer paper, I may try that out.

Danger Bird 05-12-2006 09:08 PM

Are you supposed to mix them with acrylic paint?

Brain Toad 05-12-2006 09:10 PM

I don't think you are 'supposed' to, but it's a trick of the trade I guess. When I painted the checkers on my jacket, I just used it straight from the bottle.

Inspired by this

I decided to do my own Han stencil since I couldn't find an actual stencil (that hadn't been sprayed) to use.

AIRIC 05-12-2006 11:15 PM

Pretty damn cool. Chewbacca would be hard, but sweet. I'm gonna find a good pic of him.

http://www.grrl.com/starwarsstencils.html has a Chewbacca and some others, but no Han. They used to I think.
Are you supposed to mix them with acrylic paint?
you are supposed to mix the acrylic with the fabric paint. If you read stencilpunks tutorial then he mentions something about it.

i think he said that using acrylic is fine with out mixing. and mixing is just a waste of time.

Danger Bird 05-13-2006 07:08 PM

Thanks.

Could somebody make an eyeball stencil for my "NSA IS WATCHING YOU" shirt?
