Everyone thinks BPI,B is their best CD. Idiots. Everyone last night was upset that they didn't play any "old" stuff.
"Dude, I hope they play some old stuff!" "Like 'James Brown' or 'Doctor! Doctor!" "No dude, like 'Ambulance vs. Ambulance" Oh yeah, by the way, Geoff Rickly last night; "I just wanna thank all the NJ bands who influenced us growing up, You And I, The Assistant." |
Hahahaha, my sister says she likes the Blood Brothers, but the only song she listens to is Ambulance vs. Ambulance.

Wow, I had no idea. Waiting is such a good album, btw. |
Yeah it is. It's a shame they don't play anything from it anymore.
The recent religion thread made me wonder. What is everyones personal views and beliefs on here? Anyone edge, vegan etc?
I'm a vegetarian, pacifist, lapse catholic with a socialist political bent. |

I'm Atheist, vegetarian, and believe that straight edge is the most retarded and pointless thing ever. I've explained why to all of these multiple times and I'm tired of doing so. And Ben, recommend good stuff. |

Bob Tilton hassan I sabbah After-School Knife Fight Kaospilot Julia Braid Rockets and Blue Lights Burned out Bright Off Minor Shikari Louise Cyphre La Quiete Gospel Neil Perry Cap'n Jazz Shotmaker Angel Hair Antioch Arrow |

Nihilism, with a second helping of apathy, a veal steak and a bottle of bourbon. |
I'm not really sure what religion I am, I celebrate Pagan holidays, but I don't actually believe in Odin and all of that, I think believing in any sort of "higher being" is ridiculous.
|
i was raised catholic but now i'm agnostic. such rediculous beliefs in christianity, it's insane.

I got a Circle Takes The Square hoodie and sticker.

I like their merch. I should order some. Considering they're never gonna come to Canada.

Same Shade As Concrete
Crowquill Non-Objective Portrait New Song A Crater To Cough In Interview At The Ruins They were awesome but not as a amazing as I thought they were going to be. Their sound was kind of weird but Drew did all the technical riffing and screaming at the same time perfectly. They're were about 20 people who knew the words for them and were into them and all the rest of the scene kids/girls didn't really like them. I had a lot of fun doing the singalongs, I looked Drew in the eyes for the "A murmur from the ruins echoes softly" part in "Interview At The Ruins." I love that song, they drew out the ending and the had a sample for the spoken part in the background during the middle of the song. It was very haunting and good. Altogether an awesome set. I got a hoodie, pin and sticker and I inquired about whether or not they were going to re-release the self-titled CD and the merch dude told me Hyperrealist is releasing a 12" with all the self-titled songs plus the 2 from the pageninetynine split. |
I was into them.
I didnt get to go down cause I got there right when they were going on so I moved my way to the front of the bar type area. No one there knew who they were. Scene Kid 1:"Is this mewithoutYou?" Me: "No its Circle Takes the Square." Kid 1: "So is that a girl or a guy on bass?" Me: "Its a chick, check the boobs" Kid 1 to fat gf: "I told you, oh man I really like them now." Yyyyeeeaaahhhh... CB, I made it up fornt for Thursday. I was the only one wearing just a plain grey hoodie and didn't some scene type hair do or clothing. I guess the "secret" band was the Blood Bros. Were they boring tonight or was it just me? |
Yeah in the booklet of Waiting they list Neil Perry, You and I, I, Robot, Joshua all as influences.
Neil Perry took them on tour |
Yeah it is. It's a shame they don't play anything from it anymore.
Waiting is the only album I ever truly dug by Thursday. Especially the song Ian Curtis. |
For The Workforce, Drowning is an amazing song.
|
I was hoping they would open with that.
It would've been so sweet, especially since it took 25 mins to set up and stuff. Opening with that would have made up for it, but it was Understanding in a Car Crash. I can't believe they played Signals over the Air. What a terrible waste of a song. Should have been Porcelain or something alot better. |
I'd really appreciate it if anyone could comment on me and my guitarist's new song. No vocals yet.

I like Signals. I guess I'll post their setlists in this thread too. Both nights The Blood Brothers were terribly mediocre. They essentially played the same set both nights, all Crimes stuff. I kind of accepted the fact that they weren't going to play any early TAIR stuff and despite the fact that I like Crimes alot, it's lame to play all stuff from that CD. We left during their set last night because we knew they would play the same set. Thursday laid waste to the rest of the bands both nights, they were so good.

Untie Me! Torches Together Paper Hanger My Exit Unfair Son Of A Widow Four Word Letter Wow, incredible set. The singer is a ****ing weirdo but he is awesome. He looks like a hobo and he talks kind of weird and does these strange dances. He had his pastor on stage with the band hitting a tambourine behind him and he played accordion and at one point banged on a pan. The had the guy who did the backing Arabic/Middle Eastern singing come on stage for "Four Word Letter" and they drew out the ending and made it really epic. Amazing set, very spiritual. Kids started pits to their songs. It was pathetic. I bought a shirt and a sticker. The Blood Brothers Trash Flavored Trash Peacock Skeleton My First Kiss Live At The Apocalyspe Cabaret Rats Rats Rats New Song Beautiful Horses Cecilia Celebrator Love Rhymes Tonight was the better of their two sets but like I said, very mediocre live. The bassist is a weird dude. Thursday Understanding Paris In Flames Blood On The Tracks For The Workforce Between The Rupture At This Velocity Signals Over The Air New Song (Didn't say the name and I forget the lyrics) Cross Out The Eyes Falling Bomb Division Street The Love Song Writer Encore: Jet Black New Year A Hole In The World Autobiography Of A Nation Once again the best band of the night. They sounded amazing and I really blew my voice singing to them. I was drenched in sweat by the end of the set. I cannot wait for all of you to hear "The Love Song Writer," it's amazing. |
Oh yeah, and despite what pictures say, the chick from CTTS is pretty hot. Drew is a weirdo live too.
