Integrating the leagues would just be a horrible idea. Plus, we already get to see how Rangers and Celtic do against the English teams in the Champs league and UEFA cup

Squirrel 08-12-2007 04:21 PM

i dont see why terrorists dont target football games

we'd all be winners then

2muchket! 08-12-2007 04:42 PM

Hardly.

Its the national sport and although it's been ruined slightly with the physical element almost being taken out no other sport compares to Football.

Boxing is my next favorite sport.

nothing gets people together and gets people passionate about anything more than football, much more so than religion

I laughed, felt bad, and then laughed again.

Pastorius 08-12-2007 05:17 PM

I'm torn as to what my favourite sport is.

I've been getting into football a lot more over the past few years, and I've always supported Liverpool as long as I can remember, always kept an eye on how they're doing.

Rugby however, I played for like 14 years before I had my operation. At the moment I'm slacking off on keeping up with the league, but I'm still a Tigers fan through and through, thanks to my Dad.

UFC I've only got into in the past year really, so I'm still enthusiastic as hell about it. We'll see how time changes that, but I can't see myself disliking it at all any time soon.

I've got to say rugby, it's just a great sport.

Quoted For Truth.

It allowed me to bond with me dad.

I love playing and watching rugby tho' and I've good at both really. Just prefer watching football. Although ruby internationals are always good and I'll be watching the World Cup.

I dont think he meant it that way. I think it was intended as Utd are technically in Salford, whereas City are actually in Manchester.

I used to watch rugby, and cricket, but the American versions (american football and baseball) are sooooo much better

2muchket! 08-12-2007 05:29 PM

Plus southerners support Utd. There summat wrong with that.

Pastorius 08-12-2007 05:29 PM

It's because it's a retarded mentality. Support who the hell you want. I support Liverpool because my mum does, and because of that I always ended up watching Liverpool games over any other games.

Same with Rugby, I support Leicester because my Dad is from there and consequently all I ever read about or watched was Tigers games.

ChodaBoy 08-12-2007 05:34 PM

Yeah, you should be able to watch who you want. Its just that 99% of people who dont support their local team are glory hunters. Thats why you have United fans across the country, then all of a sudden Chelsea shirts appeared everywhere. I remember a few years back when Real Madrid won the Champions League - Manchester city centre suddenly turned into Madrid

2muchket! 08-12-2007 05:35 PM

I've never agreed with supporting a team just because they're successful. But if people want to then who am I stay different.

Pastorius 08-12-2007 05:36 PM

Oh, switching your allegiance to support the most successful team, I don't approve of that at all.

But you should be able to support who you want.

jamjar602 08-12-2007 06:12 PM

eugh glory hunters! im surrounded by them up here! im a Geordie myself...although stuck in Glasgow these days having to listen to nothing but rangers celtic arguments, and with all the irish around, its all Man U (no idea why all irish folk support Man U) however im enjoying the fact there doesnt appear to be any Chelsea fans here :)

thats exactly why i support utd, my dad is from there so i grew up watching man utd games. and as it happens i would quite like it if utd got relegated this season. at least that way it would get rid of all the glory hunters and i'd be able to get tickets more often

I've got ****ed up sleeping patterns at the moment. I only need about 5/6 hours sleep to function mid-week. On weekends tho I like me lie-ins and get about 10 hours per night.

Jev 08-14-2007 05:11 AM

I finally got round to getting my last 2 EMAs and a bonus. £160 for nothing woop woop :D

2muchket! 08-14-2007 05:19 AM

Got mine a few week ago. My EMA goes up to £20 when I go back to college and for signing up to do a 2nd year of college you get another £100 bonus.

Jev 08-14-2007 05:26 AM

Poor parents ftw. Or ftl to be honest.

Dr Hooch 08-14-2007 06:07 AM

I have no objection to EMA.

I just think it's fu'cking stupid that having been paid £30 a week to go to school they give you a bonus for passing, rather than refusing to give you £30 a week if you don't work hard
