Do you get the others later or did you only do 2 A levels?

or are these As results?

Mexican Bandito 08-07-2007 05:36 AM

these are Highers. Ummm i dont' know the equivelent.

Yeah i started off doing 3. Then i was offered more hours at work so I dropped maths :p
I'd already done a year of highers at school. These ones were just to fill in time...after having a gap year.

Squirrel 08-07-2007 05:38 AM

So you did GCSEs, then one year of 'highers', then another year of them?

If so, thats A levels yeah.

Mexican Bandito 08-07-2007 05:42 AM

I did standard grades, year of highers, year out, year of highers :)

/checks
yeah highers = a level
I'm pretty chuffed i got those results. My attendance was pretty appalling (less than 40%)
Just glad i wasn't banking on these results to get onto my course this year.
Squash it under a shoe.
i did the old glass and a bit of paper trick, needed a pint glass though, it was that big. and green!

Pastorius 08-07-2007 08:14 AM

Uuuuuh pictures!

2muchket! 08-07-2007 08:15 AM

I can't bring myself to squash spiders. Always prefer to keep 'em alive and chuck 'em outside cos they get rid of all the other annoying insects like flies.

Squirrel 08-07-2007 08:28 AM

I usually ignore them unless theyre big, in which case i try to shoo them out of the room, outside or kill them sometimes.

rocknrollstar5 08-07-2007 10:05 AM

i didnt wanna disturb it too much in case it started flying around my room. my rooms not very big and i would've had nowhere to hide. and i definitely didnt want it laying eggs in my ears

Jev 08-07-2007 10:07 AM

lol like it'd do that.
If there's fuck off huge spiders I have to get my dad to get them. Things like that shouldn't have hair.

rocknrollstar5 08-07-2007 10:09 AM

haha, i would've hit this thing with a magazine but i dont think it would've killed it. when i was little i trapped a spider in my lunch box. sort of like a prison of war, the war being me vs insects

Untitled 08-07-2007 10:13 AM

I hate insects, but i dont kill them the old cup and paper out the window works for me.

Even though i do end up killing moths, not intentionally, just they are so stupid, and keep flying into my face and i just end up killing it in rage.

EDIT - I got an email saying my leeds fest ticket have been sent out today, should be hear in bout 3 days :)

Squirrel 08-07-2007 10:13 AM

theyre not insects ;)

edit: spider talk etc ^

rocknrollstar5 08-07-2007 10:17 AM

yeah but i was a young and already had the banners made, so i just called it that

Mexican Bandito 08-07-2007 11:50 AM

I don't like spiders at all. It takes alot for me to walk past one incase it falls/jumps on me :(
There are two that walk about my walls and around about my desk at night, I kinda just leave them be...

supsupsusp?

2muchket! 08-07-2007 12:10 PM

I don't mind spiders or insects at all.

I gained the same rational thinking that my dad employs and he hasn't and probably never will any phobias.

rocknrollstar5 08-07-2007 12:29 PM

in school once this guy from the zoo came in and showed us a spider that could jump up to 1ft. ive always been anxious of spiders jumping at me since!

Mr. Black 08-07-2007 12:59 PM

I always got slightly scared of spiders after I killed the Corpser on the 3rd act of Gears of War.

Same here bud, mine would have arrived this morning if Royal Mail actually delivered any post before everyone goes to work :chug:

Spiney_Norman 08-07-2007 02:23 PM

I'm not scared of spiders, but harvetsmen (those ones with tiny bodies but massive legs) kind of freak me out, they're just weird!
Anyone else watching the bond film?

Mr. Black 08-07-2007 02:33 PM
