Hey Walrus, you play banjo right? I am thinking about getting one, because I played on one the other day at work and LOVED it.
I did, but then quit for lack of banjo It is an incredibly fun instrument, I wish I had one :D
Back to the original name? Or is this only temporary?
I suppose it depends, it really sucks being a <100 post n00b for the second time EDIT: I can't wait to go to college and steal food |
I still don't see why the thread is beeing closed.
Same here. |
For a new one duh.
EDIT: I can't wait to go to college and steal food
You have no idea. It will be the highlight of your day. We spent at least 15 minutes planning how it would go down. It was like Mission: Impossible. |
My girlfriend and I used to stuff hamburgers in her purse at the college cafeteria
Ah, young love. |
You were like a young Bonnie and Clyde! We always wait days when they have chicken strips/sandwiches/kickers just because they're so easy to "lift."
Look at me! Using criminal jargon already. |
Isn't it usually like you have a card or something and then you get to go in and take as much of anything as you want?
So when is this new thread going down? |
Aparently in a matter of minutes.
|
Isn't it usually like you have a card or something and then you get to go in and take as much of anything as you want?
Yeah, they probably wouldn't care. But this makes eating an adventure. |
Yeah soon methinks.
I'm only visiting colleges so far, but I'm liking the raiding cafeteria policy. At Connecticut College, I paid 6 bucks and picked up 2 cheeseburgers, like 6 chicken strips, a few sodas, and ice cream. I actually ate it all there in about 15 minutes too; didn't even take anything for the road. I like food. Walrus, do you know where you're going to college? You wanted to go to Bard right? Did you get in? np: The Rolling Stones- Bitch My plan in college is to eat like John Belushi in Animal House:cool:. Now he got his money's worth for food. Animal House \m/ |
Thread's too big, no better time to start the new one than today.
You have no idea. It will be the highlight of your day. We spent at least 15 minutes planning how it would go down. It was like Mission: Impossible.
Usually I order a food item and simply stay in line with a friend and by the time I get to the check out stand I've already eaten the the food of my choice. Nobody knows I did it, not even the friend I was talking to who was looking at me the whole time. You don't have to be sneaky just casual. Edit: So is Med around? We need his attention. |
Yeah. It's even easier here. We just swipe a card to get in. Still, it was exciting.
:( You guys are hashing my buzz! |
Nah, I live on a beach too.
Go ride a caribou, you. |

You should totally apply to Western Michigan! School for underachievers and the slightly retarded!

Hahaha that sounds like the school my cousin goes to Roger Willams in RI. Everyone thinks its a good school but its not. In fact in their opening address to the students they said "this year we are going to stop focusing on building our campus, and start focusing on education". Its not good when a school says that. Robo: are you going to go to school in CT? Personally I would stay as far the hell away from CT its a horrible boring state. Not only is the state I live in crappy but the city I live in is too (Bristol). In fact I found out today they are making a movie about how crappy our city is. No joke its going to be an independent film about how Bristol CT is made up only of "blue collared workers and crack heads" that will be playing nation wide. I can't wait to see it. |
Northern Michigan > The other Michigans
I'd go there if I enjoyed living in an igloo and wearing snow-shoes to class...but I don't. |
I haven't heard from Bard yet, but I have been rejected from McGill (whoo! screw you Canada!)
Stupid Canada. Good luck with Bard. I was just visiting Connecticut. No way I would go to school in that shit state. Nah just kidding. Actually I saw a couple colleges in Connecticut- Connecticut College and Trinity College. I actually liked them both a lot. Connecticut College was on the water near Mystic, so a pretty nice area. And Trinity is in Hartford which is a pretty shit city, but the college was a cool place. I'll probably apply to both those places next year. I live on a beach too. But Long Island Sound is crappiest, most disgusting water ever. The beach here sucks. I go there a couple times a year at most even though it's like 5 minutes away. np: Tea Leaf Green- For Every Lonely Lady |
My parents met at Trinity.
I go to community college :-/ |
So Med doesn't appear to be around at the moment and no-body seems to care what goes into the thread's first post, (after all we can always edit it) should I post it now? We could wait for Med though.....

Yale? I can't wait to see this Bristol exposee, any idea what it's called? |

I don't know. I don't think now's the best time to make because it doesn't seem like a lot of people are on. |

Med is probably asleep if he is in the UK, isn't it something like 2:25am there? |
And you can't say ALL Connecticut schools are bad, there's always Wesleyan and what's that other one? Yale?
Meh I wasn't impressed with Wesleyan. My mom went there and it sounded like a really cool hippie college. She said when she was first visiting, her tour guide was a complete hippie who was completely stoned and saying that if you go there you don't have to go to class and said he hadn't been to class in 3 weeks. And my mom also got to see Neil Young play there in a really small, intimate venue. So I had high hopes but when I visited there, it was maybe too liberal and weird for me. Plus, it's gotten really, really academically challenging and had a really intense work environment. And it's really hard to get into. But yeah, it's a great school. Just not somewhere I'd really want to go. I don't really care who does the first post. I mean, Med is a mod so he should probably do it, but if he's not around and you desperately want to do it now for some reason, I don't really have a problem with it. But we don't need to rush. |

I don't know how many hours ahead of us they are, but it's pretty late over there. |
We've still got a little under an hour right? For me it says that this one was posted at 9:37 eastern.
I don't know. I don't think now's the best time to make because it doesn't seem like a lot of people are on.
I think enough people are on, I just want to know if you guys are cool with that. I am planning on doing it in the next hour if Med doesn't show.

I'm game.
