Speaking of Metallica bassists, Rob Trujillo is ridiculously talented. His work with Infectious Grooves is great stuff.

MBS 03-16-2006 04:23 PM

Did we start a new thread?
i love clasic rock. Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin Kick seven sades of ***!! would metallica be classic. they've been around forever
Seven shades of ass. That's pretty original.

If we start a new thread, I want on the first page, at least. :(

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 03-16-2006 04:40 PM
I really will try and talk more, I just rarely have anything relevant to say.
Please do, our annual conversations aren't enough.
Um, the conversation has been quite good yes, except for the endless, meaningless arguments.
Arguments?!?! Why that's the best part about this thread! No, but seriously I apologize if I've started a few unnecessary arguments...(<_<)

This thread will be executed in 4 hours!!!!

Anyone willing to help me come up with the first post? No-one seems to be making any effort to try to get this done nor care. Any ideas?

Krabsworth 03-16-2006 04:42 PM

So at 8:37 P.M. Central Time the thread will be made?

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 03-16-2006 04:48 PM

We could if the first post was ready but I just thought the goal was to make it sometime today.

Krabsworth 03-16-2006 04:49 PM

Who cares just post something.

magicbus 03-16-2006 05:06 PM

Just start it out, and we can always add to it by editing stuff in. I don't think I'm going to get on the first page, because I'm going to be at B.B. King.

rockinbass17 03-16-2006 05:12 PM

Who are you seein'?

PinkFreud 03-16-2006 05:16 PM

He's seeing BB King...

rockinbass17 03-16-2006 05:17 PM

Oh. I thought he ment that he would be at the B.B. King Bar and Grill. My bad.

Glitterati 03-16-2006 05:23 PM

I'm fine with Classic Rock Revisited. I don't have any specific preferences about the new thread.

JonG 03-16-2006 05:28 PM

"JonG's Fred"

That will be the title.

Is Med making it?

Will this thread be deleted?

PinkFreud 03-16-2006 05:29 PM

It better not be deleted. We'd lose all our posts in here. That's at least half of mine. They'll just lock it and let it sink.

MBS 03-16-2006 05:34 PM

Yeah, they'd best lock it. :(

We're the first music community thread to be locked and start anew. I feel special.

/bookmarks old CR thread for future reference.
Just start it out, and we can always add to it by editing stuff in.
This idea wins. We'll edit stuff in the first post. I kind of like this as a first post:
Have at it, CR regs.
I think it'll be kind of cool.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 03-16-2006 05:43 PM

How about:
ok ok, i admit it, i'm a classic rock nut. i love led zeppelin, the beatles, the who, eric clapton, the doors, and so on. most of the bands i listen to broke up years before i was born. at 17, nearly every song on my playlist is older than me. but is it just my imagination, or is classic rock experiencing sort of a revival. i am running into an increasing number of classic rock fans my age. at my school (an all boys high school), the school newspaper took a poll of everyone's favorite genre and band. led zeppeling got 5th and the beatles got 6th, behind that rap crap. classic rock made up a large percent of ppls favorite genre. is this just by me, or are other ppl noticing this too?
Ehh? Ehh!?!?

Krabsworth 03-16-2006 05:44 PM

"fuk teh metal gheyness"

robo2448 03-16-2006 05:45 PM

What's up guys? It's only been like 2 days since I was last on, but it seems I've missed a lot. So what's going on with this new thread thing?

And I like EMH's idea to start it off. I'm too lazy to come up with a good first post now, we'll edit it later.

I'd lose the majority of my posts if they deleted it.

Med's making the first post, right?

PinkFreud 03-16-2006 05:45 PM

Nice. I like it. Original and creative. Make it so.

ATM 03-16-2006 05:50 PM

Call it Slug's Drugz and Hugz.

MBS 03-16-2006 05:51 PM
"fuk teh metal gheyness"
No, no, no, I got it, let's call it "Nothing Thread Matters (Metallica)" and have the first post say "This thread is for general Classic Rock discussion." and wait for all the stupid dobbers who just read the title of the thread, rightclick > copy link and post it in the report problems thread going "OMG WE ALREDY HAVE A METALLICA THRED GUYZ!"

PinkFreud 03-16-2006 05:52 PM

Call it....PinkFreud's....Beach....Party.

I can't come up with anything good with my name. :(

ATM 03-16-2006 05:53 PM

Pink Freud's Stink Void

General Schyma's Old Tyme Classic Rock Emporium and Retail?

Walrus Gumboot 03-16-2006 06:01 PM

Classic Rock Revisited is nice, lets 'em all know that we got a new thread without being too cheesy

This thread feels like a sinking ship. I thought I would bring out the old account for old time's sake

The first post could be a replicate of one on thick's drunken ramblings

ATM 03-16-2006 06:04 PM

Hey Walrus, you play banjo right? I am thinking about getting one, because I played on one the other day at work and LOVED it.

MBS 03-16-2006 06:07 PM
Call it....PinkFreud's....Beach....Party.
If anything it should be Mister Blue Sky's Beach Party since I am the one who lives on a friggin' beach.

Back to the original name? Or is this only temporary?

I stole chicken strips from my cafeteria today. We filled 3 big ziplocs full of them. They are delicious and damnit, if i'm gonna pay approximately 8 dollars every time I go in there, I am GOING to get my money's worth.

Edit: We have beaches in...Michigan...

Allen is a thief!

ATM 03-16-2006 06:11 PM

I steal soda from my cafeteria alllll the time. The lines are so long, so it's either class or wait in line.
