i have a dream that hardcore fans will realize that objectively, jocks yelling over minimalist music sucks, but for some reason, we subjectively love it

Fuck off niggu.

Listening to Kollwitz, band is pretty damn cool.

"Post metal" with some skram vibes.

christsimpson 10-15-2011 03:03 PM

I plugged them hard like years ago

they are a lot better live than on record but still really cool

so annoying one of the times I saw them because everyone were moshing hard

especially on the synth solos WTF

witchxrapist 10-15-2011 03:09 PM

Word.

I dl'ed their album because Alpinist just posted a tour video montage, with Kollwitz playing in the background, on Facebook. Band is really good.

cbmartinez 10-16-2011 10:24 AM
yo where at? syracuse?
Buffalo. At this place called The Funeral Home. It was pretty wild.

xMalcolmXx 10-17-2011 10:34 PM

ah nice i've heard the funeral home is awesome. i was going to go to the most recent weekend nachos show there but i ended up having to leave for school early instead

Mute Print 10-17-2011 10:48 PM

Yeah, it's the best venue going right now.

That Weekend Nachos show was insane, by the way. Highlights include silly string, pool noodles, foam balls, firecrackers, and sparklers in the pit.

xMalcolmXx 10-18-2011 01:22 PM

yeah the video on youtube rules. so pissed i couldn't go

cobert 10-19-2011 11:26 AM
Saw Earth Crisis play a house show tonight. Yeah...
They're playing at a club venue in Pittsburgh tonight and tickets are like $25. It's good to know that they still play house shows and don't only get on bills with huge metal bands, though.

I think I've been to more Cleveland shows in the last few months than anywhere in PA.

Mute Print 10-19-2011 02:33 PM

Yeah, I don't think Earth Crisis play house shows very often, but right now that house is the best venue in town. Terror and Trapped Under Ice are playing (separate) shows there in November.

West PA seems to be lacking in shows over the last year or two. I used to go to Erie every so often, but it has been a while now. Cleveland seems to get a lot of cool shows, but I've never actually been there.
