I wounder what the Jazz community in the 60's would have taken it if they knew 40 years from then he would be inducted into the ROCK hall of fame. They would've been livid. :lol:

The jazz community rejected Bitches Brew, so yeah they would've been pretty pissed off.

Either the Daily Show or the Colbert Report did a bit on Miles Davis getting inducted, I can't remember which. It was hilarious though. But really, when are those shows not hilarious?

I saw bob dylan in an outside theatre a couple years back in quebec,

it wasnt a very good concert, he mumbled most of the time and didn't even do an encore.

I wouldn't pay 125 to see him its worth more buying all of his albums for that

Yes I'm alive, thanks for asking! I've been listening to The Kinks' [I]Face To Face[/I], I really like it, Rosie Won't You Please Come Home is cool.

[I]Face to Face[/I], ehh? Yea, I just got into it recently. It's just like [I]Rubber Soul[/I] in a way. I mean that like two very poppy British Rock bands just starting to mature in their songwriting and incorporating some new styles like the droning Middle-Eastern sound on "Fancy" or the really bluesy guitar parts of "Little Miss Queen of Darkness" and those are just some examples, the whole album follows this pattern. This album and [I]Rubber Soul[/I] raised the bar for British Invasion bands. Great album, the best Kinks album behind [I]Village Green[/I].

Still reading the thread I see. It's been what? A year since we've last heard from you. How are you, man? Listening to any other types of music, besides Classic Rock I mean? (Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Trip-Hop, African Folk, Krautrock ..etc) How have you enjoyed the last year of conversation?

Never heard Face To Face.. I should listen to The Kinks more.
