hnd has a gf?
so beta u should be out there fuckin a whole harem |
backtracking: Grizzly Bear is good in context, but hype factor does leave a putrid taste in my mouth. Their music leans close to the indie aesthetic...which shouldn't be some overblown masseyhall venue nonsense.
|
hype hasn't really reached me tbh so that's all good to me
i like department of eagles indie just goes over my head i don't understand it chubby men in tight red jeans lollipopin around the place |
that's pretty much the new stance yeah.
The opening act yesterday was pretty hilarious. Black dude with clear clubbing influence paired up with a fat hispanic dude rocking Robert Smith's hair and the most disaffected look this side of sonic youth. |

08/11/12 SURKIN WRONGBAR $15.00 19+
You like Surkin, Sugarcoated? |
they have a good mashup...so it really depends on their automation and programming skills. Otherwise nothing too special...as far as I can hear right now.
The best show I saw was Daedelus on may 11th at the wrong bar. The guy was tripping harder than everyone in the room and he was responding so damn well to the crowd it was unreal. I was tripped hard too, practically thought the show was about me for a moment. Got to shake his hands and give him my best wishes. He was rocking a suit that made him look like some imperial bell-hop, with tails nonetheless.
daedalus is really good |
daedalus is really good
Yeah, I got into him a few years back. Invention and Days Demise were me faves of his, I didn't know what to expect because I hadn't heard his recent work...it was sick brick-tight totally vision-inducing stuff. |
Holy fuck sugarcoated you aren't a edmhead at all. You disappoint.
|

are you into brainfeeder stuff? |
of course he is
|
umm...its hard to say. I've mostly dug through the early to mid 90's stuff. In the post 2000's I've broken into more of the minimal techno/house stuff. I also haven't come out to see many shows, but am making more of an effort since I want to pick up some influences to start my own ting'an'ting.
|
Brainfeeder being another moniker? or artist?
I guess I'm more into the conceptual and experimental sort of electronica. Apart from the blissed out jacked-up stylings of Squarepusher...which I'm gonna have to secure a ticket to. He's coming to toronto later this year. |
brainfeeder is flylo's label
|
flylo is so ovarated it isn't even funny.
|
ahh.
No, I haven't gotten into FlyLo yet. I've known of him for quite a while but my interests had drifted before I could come to his cosmogramma...which is practically his prime album. |

I'm sure you could do tunes like this, sugarcoated.
Edit: Opps went ova my self restricted 3 postsin a row. Sorry. |
a bit uncouth but certainly good for clubs.
I do like more experimental stuff than this though. I'll provide an example that I think you'd enjoy. Demon sounds a bit more minimal and familiar to me. |
Kk and I know you like the less cut copy stuff.

idk most people like one or two tunes of cosmogramma do the astral plane being the main one
I don't listen for favourites really. I'm used to listening whole albums at a time and that is how most of my music listening is done. |
