Who else here, besides me, prefers the Naked version of Let It Be to the original

WelcomeToTheMachine 02-02-2006 02:01 PM

the Naked is way better IMO

magicbus 02-02-2006 02:18 PM

I don't think I've heard the Inner Light. I may already have it though...I'll have to look around.

I just watched the Come Together one, it was amazing. I don't have time to watch the other ones at the moment, but I defintely will. That was so cool. I'll leave it at that.

DeusExMachina 02-02-2006 03:56 PM

Those are really cool. Snazzy.

gmoneyguy 02-02-2006 04:08 PM

Wow, those are awesome.

blue3 02-02-2006 06:23 PM

That was cool. I finally heard The Inner Light, it's a good song.

Britton 02-02-2006 06:46 PM

Dude that's crazy!

I'll have to watch some more of them sometime

Cardboard Headgear 02-02-2006 09:05 PM

So lately I've been listening to I'm Only Sleeping, And Your Bird Can Sing, and Michelle probably more than is healthy.

EDIT: I forgot Here, There and Everywhere. I'm on quite a Revolver kick.

MBS 02-02-2006 09:09 PM

And Your Bird Can Sing is a really good Beatles song, I love it.

Broken Arrow 02-02-2006 09:48 PM

I love the layers and layers of guitars used in that song, very melodic.

Leper 02-03-2006 01:00 AM

I know I said before that I wasn't that fond of And Your Bird Can Sing, but like most Beatles songs, I'm warming up to it.

magicbus 02-03-2006 11:47 AM

"And Your Bird Can Sing" is pretty awesome. I really love the "fast switching chords" guitar intro.

idspispopd 02-03-2006 02:32 PM

I love revolution 1. in my opinion, that is the perfect song. If only George Harrison used the bridge pickup on the white album for the rhythm parts...
If only George Harrison used the bridge pickup on the white album for the rhythm parts...
Why do you say this?
And Your Bird Can Sing is a really good Beatles song, I love it.
I don't care to much for it. It's a decent song but not great IMO. The anthology version where Paul can't stop laughing is pretty good though.

Leper 02-04-2006 02:21 AM

Is it just me, or does Lady Madonna sound like it was recorded during the Let it Be recording sessions? The way Paul's vocals are recorded sound a lot like how they are on much of Let it Be...

DeusExMachina 02-04-2006 10:33 AM

Speaking of Revolver...

For No One is the best song on that album. Followed closely by I'm Only Sleeping, Here There and Everywhere, and Eleanor Rigby.

Well, seeing as Lady Madonna came out in early 1968, and Let it Be was recorded in January 1969, I can easily see how that's possible.

Actually.

She Said, She Said and And Your Bird Can Sing are the best.

No arguing.

Jacaranda 02-04-2006 02:09 PM

Actually.

Tomorrow Never Knows and Love You To are the best.

Fact.

Actually....

LoL

So who here has seen Paul play live>?

magicbus 02-04-2006 02:51 PM

Actually the entire album is amazing (except for Yellow Submarine *cough* ).

Magical_Mystery_Tour 02-04-2006 04:51 PM

Off Revolver(which is a great album), my fav would definitly have to be Elenor(yes I know) Rigby. The violins are really sweet.

thickasabrick 02-04-2006 06:50 PM

I think the Beatles would be better if they weren't so old.

Stick it up/in your butt, Aaron. Bamf indeed.

Taxman is probably my favorite song on teh revolver, followed by Yellow Submarine and Tomorrow Never Knows, but I still think Magical Mystery Tour > Rubber Soul > Revolver. I can't say about the Pepper's, because in all honesty I haven't listened to the whole album yet.

/commiting suidide in the Beatles thread

Not that there's anything wrong with that...:)

About 2 months ago when I got that CD, I must have listened to it three times everday for two weeks. Favorites are Taxman, Tomorrow Never Knows, She Said She Said, Got To Get You Into My Life, and I'm Only Sleeping.

Sort of like how Rain is a dead-ringer for a Revolver cut

Speaking of which, I still think it's a shame that they never relaesed the "hey Jude" album on CD. It's quite a nice collection of songs, blending their later and earlier work
