Yeah, I'm trying to clear some room on my disk for it. (butcher was kind enough to give me slayer's show no mercy. )

I think you're the only one. There is a lot of people that play guitar. At my school I hear all these kids talking about how they can play the latest Green Day songs and they think they're so good, it pisses me off.

Five Magics 10-19-2005 05:08 PM

...and those are probably the same people that think lars is amazing on drums...

Chu 10-19-2005 05:21 PM

Lars isn't amazing on drums?!

You know, the same thought has crossed my mind a couple of times.

So Britton, have you learned all of holy wars including the guitar solo?

RustedPieces 10-19-2005 07:22 PM

Speaking of Holy Wars, I've been trying to get a Rust In Piece tone. Tell me if I'm getting close. I only recorded up to some of The Punishment Due...

Five Magics 10-19-2005 08:00 PM

I think there should be 2 Megadeth threads. Guitar Megadeth & General Megadeth.

I love how there's a bunch of guitar player's that play Megadeth, but no one I ever jammed with knows more than symphony and if im lucky peace sells

Thrashman_Metallica 10-19-2005 08:26 PM

yea i agree

anywayz ma fav song would have to be holywars and symphony of destruction (i like Marty’s spanish solo in holy wars :smoke: )

Five Magics 10-19-2005 08:41 PM

nice...any 'deth songs you like playing?

metalmilitia101 10-19-2005 08:46 PM

ya know, i hate to say this in this thread but i have not picked up any megadeth tabs yet, although all the songs are seemingly simple. i just started appreciating megadeth about 7 months ago, and since then have been occupied with other things. thanks for reminding me though, i'll pick up some. what songs do you think have the most complex drumming in them?

FlyingPaul_83 10-19-2005 08:50 PM

Rust in peace...polaris maybe?

Five Magics 10-19-2005 09:11 PM

The remastered Killing is my Business album has some really solid playing. You really can hear how great Gar Samuelson is on there since the quality is improved. KIMB drumming > PSBWB drumming IMO.

People do not realize how good Menza is on Rust in Peace. Poison was the cure, Take No Prisoners, Five Magics and yes Rust in Peace...Polaris are all very tight.

.:Thrashman:. 10-20-2005 03:27 AM

dont play kill the king (i play guitar and i can play that)

Epicurus 10-20-2005 03:47 AM

Marty Friedman is genious!

.:Thrashman:. 10-20-2005 05:45 AM

just cant believe that he left megadeth to do pop music:upset:

Mother 10-20-2005 06:48 AM

Yea that sucks.

I'm no drummer but I think Megadeth has far better drumming than Metallica. I have a friend who's a drummer and is in my GB class and he says that Lars has the absolute gayest fills during cool guitar riffs and solos. He says that it totally kills the song IE Sanitarium.

I think that megadeth's drummer sounds a lot better. (and isn't money hungry either)

Jev 10-20-2005 11:52 AM

Any megadeth drummer>Lars. Lars has recycled a few drumbeats from the black album to present. It's quite funny, He can hardly play to save his life. And most of the drumtracks on St Anger were looped on Computer so Lars didn't have to play whole songs.

fatbandit 10-20-2005 12:01 PM

Know what...?

I just listened to Rust in Peace...Polaris and Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr afterwards.

I think Trivium stole the drum intro :/

Maybe. But they're still good songs.
My old drummer trying to play Pull Harder was the most funniest thing ever. He struggles to keep a 4 beat and it was just hilarious.
