Nope most people like that dont have it

Chippy569 11-18-2006 03:07 PM

i can't speak about the british system, since i'm american, but I could get insurance for the 1969 firebird i keep eyeing easily, it'll just cost 2 grand a month or so, being that i'm 18 and have 1 speeding ticket on my record and also went deer hunting with a honda two weeks ago.

Drum Phil 11-18-2006 03:07 PM

Its one of the sportier models.

Theres not much in the way of cars i do like these days, modern cars are far too curvy and weird looking for my taste.

The missus is after a Skyline :-/ R33 model i beleive.
Nope most people like that dont have it
Haha yes they do.

They do cause they can afford it, and because not having it is just plain stupid. People don't get rich from being stupid.

Makes no difference really, the cars too powerful for a beginner.
Erm, I've driven an Audi A4, which has way more power than my own personal car, and had no problems with it? The advantage of a more powerful car is that you DON'T need to floor it all the time.

Josiah 11-18-2006 03:18 PM

Mmm nice mustang!

Haha hey phil, just remember - you get what you pay for.

There's Ferarri's that go for 20k used too...
A skyline for 5K. Guaranteed it has major issues, engine is prob shot and worse..

hahaha no kidding T'. Having some extra power is nice every so often... but not every light.

Win A Rabbit 11-18-2006 03:18 PM

I'd be perfectly fine with my grampa's old Plymouth Reliant. Whenever I get my license that car's mine. I'm not a car person at all. If it gets me from point A to point B and doesn't cost an insane amount for gas or insurance, I wouldn't care what color or shape it is.

My friend's spend way too much money on cars. But hey, I guess they look at me like I spend too much money on drums/guitar.

Chippy569 11-18-2006 03:21 PM

my car money goes straight into the stereo...

My dad has a 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider sittin in the garage right now...he got it about 2 years ago and hasn't touched it...It needs some major work but he's been sidetracked with other stuff around the house. He's got all the parts to fix it...he just needs the time. It'll be sweet when it's done though.

gastery6 11-18-2006 03:28 PM

Any car is fine for me, as long as it runs nice

Josiah 11-18-2006 03:43 PM

I try to make drumming as gangsta as possible.

gastery6 11-18-2006 03:45 PM

Put a spinner on your bass drum

Josiah 11-18-2006 03:50 PM

Bah already been done...

I just cap nigga's for talkin smack with the flam-smackdown of my mighty 2B's, got my mind on the money and my mouth on the ganja

Bear in mind the R33's are from about '99.

Indeed, and I mean, it can be justified for perfectly legal reasons too, for example, I'm stuck in traffic, in the middle lane of the highway, and need to move over to the right lane. I need extra power in order to be able to pull ahead safely.

Then the car in front of you slams on its breaks and you're looking to make sure you make it before the car behind you and then you crash into the car in front of you causing a 70 car pileup that kills 16 people, 5 of them children.

Win A Rabbit 11-18-2006 04:14 PM

I'm wearing my new tie for the first time. I love wearing ties.

I have 6 now: 2 diagonally striped both ways, and 2 "pattern" ones that stay consistent throughout the tie.

I have a pink tie with black stripes, a brown tie with white stripes, a white tie with black checkerboard-esque stripes, a black tie with purple dotted stripes, a "grampa" tie with a checkerboard pattern of a bunch of subtle light colors, and my new yellow tie with checkerboarded dark/light shades of yellow.

I'm awesome.

TTTSNB 11-18-2006 04:15 PM

^ No. I didn't say it's good to do things like this, but in very aggressive environments, like cities, you have to do stupid things. Besides, in that unlikely situation, I could dmost likely odge the car on the shoulder (not that I support this). Have you ever driven on a city beltway or anything like that? If you don't drive somewhat aggressively, someone will run you down, I swear.

You can't dodge onto the shoulder, not only are you in the middle lane, there happens to be a stranded family of 7 on the side that you would hit.

I've driven around detroit and its suburbs. A V6 is just fine for what you need to do in heavy yet fast paced traffic.

Just outta curious..

How many 70 car, 16 body pileups have ever happend in the US. Just ever, since cars started goin around..

Actually lets just even it out - How many 70 car pile ups? How many car crashes with 16 deaths?

Then how many of them hold the same terms?

Zero? One?

Oh that's what I thought.

It don't matter the engine size, it's he drivers abbility.

I assure you more people have been killed from cars with V6 and 4cyl's then any other car on the road.

Oh Loser here's some quick facts for you -

Most fatality resulting car accidents happen at 30-40mph, not highway speeds.

Over 50% of all car accident fatailities are in rural areas.

And something like 50%+ of all accident related deaths involve a drunk driver.

Seems to me, having a fast car.. is not really an issue, and it's certiantly not that cause of most accidents or accident releated deaths.
