DaveSavesTheDay 03-12-2005 09:57 PM

ShelBel 03-12-2005 09:58 PM

Okay, all set. I have an ice cream sandwich, a Jager Red Bull, and 3MB internet. Life is now officially good for the first time since 8am this morning. :D

DaveSavesTheDay 03-12-2005 10:01 PM

Haha, nice. I'm listening to some Bela Fleck.

ShelBel 03-12-2005 10:07 PM

Now if I could just play my bass... there are a bunch of new songs I want to learn! *sigh*

Anywho... hubby and I actually went out briefly on Tuesday night to see The Black Mollys play (their bassist Dan and the hubby graduated from high school together; Dan's a great guy and burned me a copy of their CD about a month back). If anyone is interested, they've got stuff up at www.myspace.com/theblackmollys (about 3 songs and a really funny XM radio promo their drummer Joe did). Good stuff. Not very complicated, but catchy.

Left Shoe 03-12-2005 10:20 PM

how is everyone this fine night

gaslight 03-12-2005 10:21 PM

Just my usual.

You?

good rats 03-12-2005 10:22 PM

I've had a line writing problem. I have this sort of arpeggiated way of writing slower type riffs. (a la Stu Hamm's Love Thang, which is how I got used to doing the **** thing! GRR)

ShelBel 03-12-2005 10:33 PM

*slurps drink* Man, I wish most of you were older. Could be fun if we all got drunk on the board... ;)

gaslight 03-12-2005 10:35 PM

Me too, a Daria DVD set would give me many hours of entertainment.

Foxfire 03-12-2005 10:36 PM

I don't like drinking alcohol much (red wine MAYBE). Made the girlfriend sad that I'm not a "bad boy." (Hey, I like to know what's going on. :p)

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-12-2005 10:41 PM

BEHOLD THE STUPIDITY OF BUNNYBASS!

ShelBel 03-12-2005 10:41 PM

Whatever floats your boat, Fox. :) That's cool. I just can't help the fact that for some reason I've gotten stinkin' HOOKED on Jager. At this point in my life??? What the heck is happening to me?

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-12-2005 10:43 PM

Thanks for posting in my hread fox. I need it to get stickied.

Well, it's funny because she's younger than me. ;p I told her I'd hold her hair and cuddle with her during her hangovers, but she said she wouldn't since I think heavy drinking is unattractive. :) :p

Foxfire 03-12-2005 10:45 PM

Yeah dude, it's ****ing pissing me off (The picture) I keep getting this window for a username and password.

gaslight 03-12-2005 10:45 PM

Yeah, I can't stand drunk people either. I get this urge to blindfold them and push them out onto the road.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-12-2005 10:48 PM

Uggh... I keep trying to post the username and password and keeps screwing up.

For username: astewart
For password: stewart

Foxfire 03-12-2005 10:49 PM

Now see, stupid drunk doesn't appeal to me, but I like silly drunk, you know? Just enough to get buzzed and kind of goofy. But it has to be at the right time with the right people. Had an incident a couple weeks ago with a couple of girls at a friends' house, they were STUPID drunk and the rest of us weren't hardly drinking at all... MAN did they make me mad. I couldn't deal with it at all!

gaslight 03-12-2005 10:54 PM
i just checked, they did not put any of the seasons on dvd, just the movies, which sucks, id rather have the episodes personally
Dang, you can get them all off the net though. I'll make my own DVD.

where are you talking about?

good rats 03-12-2005 11:03 PM

We need a Mod to sort this guy called Harpo out. He wont stop spamming, it's really pissing me off.

gaslight 03-12-2005 11:13 PM
where are you talking about?
My friend got lots from Kazaa, and put them on CD for me.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-12-2005 11:38 PM

I need a quick opinion. Should I save up my money for approx. a year (or If i can get a job, until september) so that I have $1500 and buy a 4 string bass (not sure what yet) or should I save up for 4 years and get a Fodera 4 string?

Kayetan 03-12-2005 11:41 PM

I wouldn't get the fodera, but thats just me.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-12-2005 11:42 PM

Why not?

Kayetan 03-12-2005 11:46 PM

Well, as much as I love playing bass, I can't see myself saving for 4 years to buy a bass. Nothing against Foderas really, but thats a whole lot of savings.

gaslight 03-12-2005 11:47 PM

Are bass stacks always so expensive?

For me to get a Mesa Boogie stack with the Big Block 750 Head, 2x15 Cab, and 4x10, it would cost me about $7000 AUD.

Mr. Jiggy Fly 03-12-2005 11:49 PM

Well, in four years I would:
1. be a lot more more accomplished as a bassist.
2. have pretty much all the gear I need, except for a really nice bass.

Also, I really love Foderas, they are the only bass, a long with Ken Lawrences, that I havee actually really loved. Sure, other basses are good and all, but I can't express myself as much as on the fodera or KLs.
