Is it a big hassle putting it thruogh a PA at gigs? Is there only one output needed, or is there one for each drum?

RJDBass 03-12-2005 03:24 PM
fatbandit: My drummer owns an electric drumkit, it works well. They are quite expensive but nowadays they have improved so much that they sound so similar to the real ones. You "can" tell the difference but meh... they are amazing.

RJDbass: We play pop-rock in spanish, but we mix some funk, swing, blues and metal. Probably we will have recordings of the gig so Ill tell you.
Sounds interesting.

we need ideas! sonny can't live through the night! woodpenis is gonna die too..**** this trip is gonna be soo great. :D

twopelu 03-12-2005 03:30 PM

fatbandit: The common thing it putting it all through a PA, you know, electric drumkits have one output with all the signals mixed. At least, thats the way my drummer used to do although he rarely uses his drumkit out of home nowadays. Nothing beats acutic drums in a gig, but electric ones are good for home recordings.

neal_672 03-12-2005 03:32 PM

Hey all

twopelu 03-12-2005 03:35 PM

hi! hows that?

fatbandit 03-12-2005 03:47 PM

Neal smells...

neal_672 03-12-2005 03:50 PM

...better than Chris...

:thumb:

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:01 PM

...Evans, who is a smelly ginger boy...

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:03 PM

...But is not as smelly as Chris aka fatbandit from mx forums...

/wins

 that was a great comeback by the way...

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:06 PM

...However, the smell is pleasant, like the morning's dew, and parma violets. Therefore, while being smellier than Neal, it is not a bad thing. Then the two got along well, and all were happy...

/pwned.

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:08 PM

...But they were in fact especially bad parma violets that had gone off, thus smelled very very bad repulsing all of those within a 3 miles radius...

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:13 PM

...and so, Neal still smelled too, and nobody wanted to talk to either of the two. However, Chris couldn't see how a pleasant smell (as described above) could be ceated with bad Parma Violets, so he ignored Neal's jibes...

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:15 PM

 but he only ignored them because he wasn't intelligent enough to understand...

Love you :upset:

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:18 PM

...but regardless of intelligence, Chris gets the last word, because he doesn't use ellipses at the end of his post, and therefore wins.

The feelings mutual Neal... None of the retaurants I've been into recently have had Brown Sauce sachets. :upset:

Hey, maybe we do smell, there's nobody else posting!

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:22 PM

 that was fun!

No brown sauce!

Nah it's everyone else that smells, we just smell too nice and they can't put up with it

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:25 PM

Heh, we rule.

smellslikeshoes 03-12-2005 04:27 PM

Smelly^^^

Left Shoe 03-12-2005 04:28 PM

you are all dumb, just got back from a concert band competition

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:28 PM

I was going to post something incredibly witty, but I forgot it. How do you get a list of how many posts people have here? I want to see how much of my postcount is from here (most of it, I know that much).

Also, I would like to proclaim that I am not happy with my band, and do not promote dirnking heavily before going onstage at a badly organised gig, when the singer and guitarist are conspiring to get rid of the drummer from the band. :'(

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:31 PM

Yeah, well at least me and Neal don't smell like....shoes, smellslikeshoes... :upset:

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:31 PM

Pffffft, my guitarist is off his **** most of the time we play and we're fine!

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:32 PM
Yeah, well at least me and Neal don't smell like....shoes, smellslikeshoes... :upset:
 :thumb: we win!

Left Shoe 03-12-2005 04:32 PM

your fat and thats gross*cries* *goes to get list of how many people posted what in here*

smellslikeshoes 03-12-2005 04:34 PM

Bah! shoes smell nice

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:34 PM

I am Neal according to my name, and i have to say that's pretty **** sweet :thumb:

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:34 PM

Yeh, well my singer can't sing, and when he's drunk, he's worse. Drummer was missing beats, stopping drumming randomly, dropped his sticks 7 times, knocked his bass drum over, knocked a cymbal stand over and didn't finish songs when he was supposed to. Guitarist played fine, but nearly fell off the stage, and kept playing gay **** when we were supposed to be talking to the audience. There's more stuff. I'm just not happy with them.

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:37 PM

 find a better band!

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:41 PM

I'm in the process of doing so, but this has to do for now. We've done a good few gigs, and done a cd though. Its not like I enjoy punk/hardcore that much anyway. I can't be arsed putting effort into basslines at all. Its so uninspiring to do any more than root and fill.

If you want a listen, add me to your MSN, and I'll send you a track or two (assuming you have a decent connection)

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:43 PM

neal_672@hotmail.com

Won't be able to accept as i've got a lot on download at the mo, but maybe later, plus we can talk still :thumb: My band's rock n roll/grunge i just root and add loads of fills, it suits me pretty well as it suits the music well so i'm ok with it :thumb:

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:48 PM

Consider yourself added, mon frere.

(Has no idea what he just said, being a pig headed englishman, and not knowing any foreign languages, afterall)

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:53 PM

Mon frere means "my brother" i think

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:54 PM

That'll do! :thumb:

fatbandit 03-12-2005 04:56 PM

Just think how dead the casual would be in UK evening time without us, Neal!

neal_672 03-12-2005 04:56 PM

bassist-bmxer 03-12-2005 04:58 PM
