Yeah, I'm mainly a fingerstyle player. I love a good slap line though.

Right now my bass is a bit messed up :upset:
A string - D doesn't sound the same as open D string
my bass is in tune and the 12th fret harmonic and the 12th fret fretted sound the same.. I don't know what it is

Sometimes the open note and fretted note will sound a bit different. If it's a REALLY big difference it could be an intonation issue.

It could be the brand of strings too.Mine doesn't sound too different,but there's a bit of one.
Another thing;I have 2 basses.An Ibanez GTR200 and a Fender P-Bass.My P-Bass's plate started to crack because of the cord,and then i accidently hit the cord which ripped the plugger thingy right out and took a couple of wires with it :lol:

select a class to compete in C , B , A , or AA. C is easiest AA is the hardest you can og at the high school level. thats what we are competing in AA. you play a select piece (and like 5 other bands in your class play tyhe same piece ) and you get judged on that, then oyu play two other pieces of similar dificulty. and recieve a rating of I II, III, VI, or V. V i is worst, we usually get 1's or 2's. then after that you and your band have to go into this room where they just put a piece of music in front of you and you sight read it as an ensemble for another rating.

meh im not expecting much on this run, we got some really bad trombone players , and we usually choose music that plays to their level, but this time around our band director kinda forgot our trombone palyers suck so its got some parts that are a real mess

The best I could find was an auction site with all 65 episodes and all the movies on 2-3 DVDs.

Haha, I just started messing around with my Big Muff. Its so amusing pretending to be a lead guitarist!

Well I heard Maxwell Murder for the first time and was kinda impressed, it fit the song really well and its alot of chromatic walk ups, the only reason people say that its just a bunch of notes thrown together is because he plays it with a pick and the notes tend to sound like there running together.

Its harder than it sounds too. There's nothing wrong with playign it with a pick. I find string crossing easier without a pick anyway, so it would be a disadvantage to me.

See I just use my nails and and it gets that pick sound but I can get a lot quicker using my fingers then a pick.

Hi people! long time out of casual. I have some interesting news. Yesterday I had a gig (my second gig), quite succesful, although we mistook some notes cause we had only a week to practice. Bass and drums were ok, but both guitarrist failed quite much. Here are some photos:

The bad part of it was that my gf got mad before, during, and after the show. Now she doenst talk to me, and I dont know why!, its so weird, women...

by the way, I can barely play that solo with pick, but I just cant with fingers... although it sounds quite similar with three finger triplets...quite much harder that way.

I've just decided... Electric drumkits look well cool... Anybody have a drummer that uses one? I guess it'd be better to mix it in with an acoustic ones (definitely acoustic cymbals).

fatbandit: My drummer owns an electric drumkit, it works well. They are quite expensive but nowadays they have improved so much that they sound so similar to the real ones. You "can" tell the difference but meh... they are amazing.

RJDbass: We play pop-rock in spanish, but we mix some funk, swing, blues and metal. Probably we will have recordings of the gig so Ill tell you.
