why does everyone hate the darkness so much? i think they are halirious. i saw them for the first time on the european music awards and was not sure if it was a joke or not. the song started to grow on me. i eventually bought the album permission to land and i was really suprised. after the less than stellar vocals it really is a fun time to put it in. its so obnoxious that is really is fun i think. its just reall indulgent funny stuff. i mean who else names a song get ur hands off my woman muther ****er? haha i dont mean to start a flame war here but i was jsut curious to see why no one likes them...ps i totally understand them not beign able to pull off a meiden concert tho.

I don't like bands that make little teeny boppers think they are goths because they listen to the Darkness...


oh and they suck...the singer has some ego issues...

I don't like the darkness either, I was offered to go and see them so I did. Probably the most boring gig of my life.

I hope they would open with Prowler; it's such a kickass song that I could only imagine being even more powerful live. But I'm not a big fan of Where Eagles Dare because it seems too long for an opening song. Still, if the live rendition of it is much better, then I'd be satisfied anyway.

The two best openers EVER are 'long'... Where Eagles Dare, and Moonchild

I'll just step here to say that I agree, The Prowler would definitely make a great opening. My favourite song, however, would be Fear of the Dark.

well, i think they might open with:
Prowler, then Ides of march / wrathchild, then invaders, then where eagles dare. that would be pretty sweet. i hope they play invaders, its a class song.

i don't think they've ever played it live.

I read in the biography that Steve really doesn't like Invaders, so if they have played it live, it's not very often.

I read an interview (from 1983) where 'Arry said that To Tame A Land is his favourite Maiden song.

I reckon they won't play both POTO and TTAL. I hope it's TTAL, but it'll probably be POTO :(

in the same interview he also said that Phantom and Hallowed where among his top 3 songs.. Phantom is realy a wish from the fans, and the band knows that, i think they will play it...

I may..it's a possibility..depends if I have the money at the time..Dream Of Mirror's is an amazing song, although most of you probably already figured that out for yourselves lol. I love the chorus and the "The dream is true.." part. It'd be my 2nd favorite Maiden song, Blood Brother's being my 1st.

if the alternative had happened and blaze had stayed as maiden vocallist, they would have played POTO on the BNW tour, it's Blaze's favourite maiden song

steve didn't say he disliked invaders, just that it wasn't as strong as the other stuff on beast, other than gangland, and he feels they could have had a better song on there instead of those two...

well the thing that confused me was that some songs had bold text and others didn't. The ones that didn't, were the ones that I wanted, so I assumed they were unavailable...I'll give it another go tonight when I get home from college.
