Not Winamp 2.81 :)

I'm rockin' old-skool software, yo

But "I can't believe you nailed that girl" or "I need my crack pipe back" are both pretty bad.

Hey thread

Do any of you know how long it takes to get a tuxedo? I am not a guy, so I don't know

Well, if I needed one I would just go to the store and rent one on the spot. It wouldn't take me very long. At max I would imagine it taking 30 minutes just to make sure I got the right size.

My day was peachy, actually. No real homework and I get to go see Mastodon in a matter of hours. I have also been writing stuff for the Prog Metal contest coming up.

Ok thanks, I wasn't sure

Mastodon? Make sure to give a full report on how they are.

I'll try. I might get wasted tonight, so don't count on me remembering what happens. :thumb:

Which part? I like the first part better, except for the drum solo at the beginning of the second part.

BludgeonySteve 05-17-2005 07:26 PM

thread!

wtf is the entertainment forum?

lunch998 05-17-2005 07:30 PM

Simple Man's separate forums. It's a tighter community and we can talk about basically anything. No n00bs and such.

I really should. Sorry that I haven't been there in a while, most of my time in forums has been in here lately. I'm gonna go there now if I have time. Final exams are driving me crazy.

What's the URL?

lunch998 05-17-2005 07:49 PM

If anyone wants to talk to me about it, AIM at Lunch998, I don't want to advertise it here.

I know, it's a sad day, it was 52 the day I left I think...or 51...either way.

BludgeonySteve 05-17-2005 08:06 PM

I used to be at 28 PPD, now i'm down to 22 or so. Good stuff.

I'm under 50 PPD too.

Layne Stanley had an insane voice.

Dancin' Man 05-17-2005 08:15 PM

I've held steady at 14 for a few months now.

It annoys me (his voice)
Ok thanks, I wasn't sure
I rented mine like two weeks ahead of time, and it still didn't come in until the day before. I'd give it some time, so they can order all the stuff to fit.

And thanks to everyone else about the birthday wishes.

ATM 05-17-2005 08:16 PM

Meh, it's not for everyone I guess.

I just love the melodies he comes up with.

I leave you with a picture from my digital art final portfolio/series

I heart Photoshop (I still need to fix that one wall panel next to the tree)

I look like I'm moving in for a kiss. I suppose that was the idea though.

Illmatic 05-17-2005 09:15 PM

Jerry Cantrell was a better vocalist than Layne Staley IMO (I know, not the popular opinion but deal with it) and a better lyricist too.

Also, DM, dang you're narcisstic. A photoshopped pic where you are about to make out with yourself? Damn, white boy.

Illmatic 05-17-2005 09:46 PM

oshi DM, are you going to take that from Madeline? (haha, "Madeline". What is this, Europe in 1830?)

So anyway, I burned the new NIN album from a friend and uh...I can't tell if it's any better than Downward Spiral or The Fragile.

TDS is a masterpiece, while With Teeth is a near flawless album imo, nothing will ever beat TDS.

ATM 05-17-2005 10:33 PM

I think With Teeth is still a good album. It's got a few tracks that I can listen to over and over.

Jom 05-17-2005 11:57 PM

I haven't heard a thing from NIN. I might get around to listening to them at some point in time, but I'm in no hurry.

I just finished contributing to some, erm, "Mayhem." Now, it's time for sleep.

Take care of yourselves, I hope your weeks are going well. I'll talk to you all after work. w00t for the early shift!

Illmatic 05-18-2005 12:00 AM

It's good, NIN is good for the most part, but most of their stuff seems kinda same-y IMO.

EDIT: Night AH. Hurray for the early shift indeed. Hell, hurray for not having work at all >_>

I'm scared. My future as a vampire is on the chopping block. I have to stay late and meet with the boss today, and I have a bad feeling (due to rumors) that I'm going to get pulled off of night shift. After being on it so long I don't know how I could go back to days. It's like when soldiers come back from war and combat for a long time and just can't get back into normal life? That's how it will be for me...but I'm hoping it's nothing.

Illmatic 05-18-2005 12:26 AM

Or it'll be like when Brooks got out of jail in "The Shawshank Redemption" and had no idea how to function in the real world.

At least then you can have time to make the mic thing work. :grim:

See you guys, I'm off to work. I may not be around for very long in the next few days, but I may have a belated MNM up soon.

Yes, another good example...I'm serious though. When you live at night for a year and a half, you get very accustomed to it both mentally and physically. It will be a hell of a kick in the ass for a good month or two.
