It looks like he's reaching into a stool. Nice job though, at least it's not a monkey and a guy in a chem suit.
that looks so rad man! nice job :thumb:
Thanks, it took me all day after school.I figured it was probably more important than math homework. It's going to be a bitch to hold down the eyes and his left leg when I spray the shirt.

coheneran 12-07-2006 07:56 AM

Here's one of Excentral Tempest I just made:

ive done two stencils. one was the anarchist flowers, and a sub humans shirt. ill find a camera and take a pic sooner or later. also ive been tryin to do an epoxies shirt, but instead of using tape i used strips of freezer paper. a day later i realized i could of used tape.

_lower_class_brat_ 12-07-2006 11:02 PM

ive made a streetlight manifesto shirt, which is really bad, because i kept screwing up, and i kept going over it, so its ugly and thick, and i made a World/Inferno Friendship Society ****, which i'm proud of, no pics tho, but when i get a cam, i'll definitely upload 'em.

yourstruly 12-07-2006 11:20 PM

How do you make stencils?. Is it an image/photoshop job?

bleep_bloop 12-08-2006 01:00 AM

i usually just print/copy a pic i want, and then tape that paper to harder piece of paper, outline where i want to cut, and cut through both with an exacto/similar blade.
that's just for 8x10 stencils though.

Danger Bird 12-08-2006 08:00 AM

I use photoshop.

mullets suk 12-08-2006 03:01 PM
How do you make stencils?. Is it an image/photoshop job?
when i make my own i use Photoshop. you de-saturate then use brightness/contrast to get it completely black and white.

this does not always work, if you look at my examples on the last page. But you just have to get lucky with th picture I guess. There are other ways but im not very good at using photoshop.

_Mote_ 12-08-2006 03:07 PM

I made a Screeching Weasel T-shirt, but all the ink is kind of sploched out 'coz I put it in the washing machine. Damn you sharpies *shakes fist*!!!
I'm afraid I don't know much about making/editting clothes, but usually it's a combination of fold>pin>sew>cut.
Well yeah.

I'm just trying to figure out what kind of skirt would look cool.

There's too many shapes, too many options, too much variety.

And for once, google is failing me.

DaveToopes 12-09-2006 10:15 PM

i know this girl that sewed a bunch of ties together and it looked pretty cool.

Sunshine 12-09-2006 10:17 PM

I actually saw someone with a skirt like that.

It was pretty cool.

But I need a prom dress skirt.

Damnit.

DaveToopes 12-09-2006 10:54 PM

I know a girl who made a duct tape prom dress. It looked pretty good actually for being duct tape. She used lots of different colors

Sunshine 12-09-2006 11:20 PM

Haha yeah.

Last year there was a chick with starburst wrappers. It was pretty chill.

Somebody's doing some OTHER kind of wrapper this year, I think.

I just want a plaid one.

I guess I'll just do a basic skirt. Kinda a mid-way thing. Not too poofy, but not straight down, either.

asdf 12-09-2006 11:43 PM
i know this girl that sewed a bunch of ties together and it looked pretty cool.
A friend of mine and his mom made one of those for him. Same goes for being made out of bandanas. Skirt, though, not a dress.

Sunshine 12-09-2006 11:51 PM

Bandanas?

WOW do I want to do that.

Bandanas arn't allowed in my school.

Hmm...genious idea right there.

asdf 12-09-2006 11:55 PM

Why aren't they allowed? Gang-related? Uniforms?

One of the things I like about my school is it's really relaxed dresscodes. I've seen the prinicpal giving students high-fives for whatever beer their shirts were promoting.

Sunshine 12-10-2006 12:19 AM

Gang-related.

They're all super hardcore about it this year, too, 'cause the fights that've been goin' on.

Like, you can't have one around your neck, in your pocket, around your wrist, ANYWHERE visible.

The dress code is uber lax except for 1 lady.

And you'd think, in a school of over 3,000, 1 lady wouldn't be able to find you ever?

Dude, she sees every last person in that building.

asdf 12-10-2006 12:22 AM

This isn't a problem for my school, which consists of nearly 90% being upper middle. I don't technically live in their city, so I'm one of the few exceptions.

Sunshine 12-10-2006 12:25 AM

I don't live in a city at all.

I live, basically, in a boarder town.

Mexico is like. Right there.

And the black people and the Mexicans don't get along at ALL.

Oh, and the white guys are just tryin' to get in on some violent action, but they're all pretty silly.

asdf 12-10-2006 12:28 AM

Well, seeing as I go to a school with sheltered white kids, I do see the occasional white guys trying to be tough. They generally fail.

Mostly the kids just become horribly corrupt. Excessive drug use, rape, and eating disorders run rampant, but are never talked about.

Sunshine 12-10-2006 12:43 AM

Oh, see, we have that.

Drug use to the max [there are a shitload of meth labs like 15 minutes out of town..and I live on the edge of town..], rape and abductions, people are either 500 lbs or 50, fights like hell with guns and tire irons and knives and brass knuckles...

And it's talked about often.

But the police don't care.

Especially if you give them like $50.

bleep_bloop 12-10-2006 12:53 AM

we're not allowed to wear hats at my school. it makes me mad especially now when a beanie or other warm hat would really help keep me warm.

i didnt think that sierra vista was that close to the border

edit: whoops i guess i was mistaken i always thought of it as being north of tucson.

asdf 12-10-2006 12:56 AM

My skinhead friend is nearly regretting getting a chelsea cut just as the winter weather was approaching. I thought it was a bit silly in the first place but I didn't stop her.

There's no rules about hats at my school, but occasionally there's the asshole teacher that makes it a rule for their classroom. This year for a change, none of my teachers care, so I can wear my tophat without fail.

Sunshine 12-10-2006 12:59 AM
i didnt think that sierra vista was that close to the border
Well.

It's only like an hour~hour and a half to Nogales.

Same to Douglas, different direction.

Far as I'm concerned, that's close enough.

I can see the border mountains from my bedroom window, and there's a border checkpoint between here and Tucson, and there's a blimp like 10 minutes away from my house that's there for the sole purpose of catching illegals, and the border patrol field lights keep flashing this weird creepy blue that looks like aliens...

It's very border-centered around here.

Everythings border-border-border.

bleep_bloop 12-10-2006 01:02 AM

wow we dont get any of that here in tucson

asdf 12-10-2006 01:03 AM

Living in Michigan FTW. No one cares if Canadians sneak in. Because... what Canadian is ever going to sneak in?

Sunshine 12-10-2006 01:05 AM

You're so lucky, you have no idea.

I love going up to Tucson, except driving on I-90 because you get massive speeding tickets =/

I went last Saturday to take my board up to get it tuned for the season...that one ski & snowboard shop on Broadway? Yeah.

And I want a Rex's Revenge from Beyond Bread =(

bleep_bloop 12-10-2006 01:11 AM

i think its peter glenn that you went to. i probably need a tune up for my board too but from what it sounds like the seasons going to suck so i dont think so.
is rex's revenge one of their breads? they have some good breads, people are always carrying loaves of their bread around at my school.

mullets suk 12-10-2006 07:01 AM

we have alot of drugs, but thats about it. I live in the middle of where white rich kids have to much money and nothing to do. unfortunately im one of them, but with out the drugs.

actually the police here are really good at hiding crime rates and stuff. where i live is one of the best places to live in MD, but people who live here all know that theres a crap load of drugs and a few "gangs" around some areas.

My school has that hat rule, they even took out hat day cause it causes "gang" violence, because a kid wearing a Santa hat represents the north side gang. but because of that hat rule i cant wear my bowler.

POINTLESS5448 12-10-2006 10:21 AM

at my school you arent allowed to have anything gang related too. theyre dumb about it though. if you have 2 different colored shoe laces thats gang related. insignificant **** like that they claim it to be gang related.
so...
i made a gang related shirt and im starting a gang related gang! its just a stencil in regular font that says "gang related" and im going to make everyone shirts and hopefully everyone will wear them to school.

Flagjacket 12-10-2006 10:31 AM

Shoe laces are used to indicate gang affiliations in LA.

DaveToopes 12-10-2006 11:01 AM

Yeah same with some skinheads.

AIRIC 12-10-2006 11:48 AM

Well maybe if you heard about skinheads from your older brother in 7th grade. I'm pretty sure real skinheads don't do ridiculous **** like that.

Aus Rotten 12-10-2006 11:53 AM

Agreed. That does sound childish to a degree.

I'm jealous. But can the people sitting behind you still see while you're wearing a tophat?
I'm jealous. But can the people sitting behind you still see while you're wearing a tophat?
Generally if I feel like that's going to be an issue, I'll take it off. But more often than not it's not becuase I'm short and I slouch when I sit, or I often sit in the back of class.

I love my tophat.
Well maybe if you heard about skinheads from your older brother in 7th grade. I'm pretty sure real skinheads don't do ridiculous **** like that.
I heard about this from a real life skinhead who cited a real life skinhead zine.............

asdf 12-10-2006 12:39 PM

My skinhead friends don't get involved with the whole shoelace meanings thing. They know about it and what some of them mean in various places, but they really don't care and think it's a waste of time.
